The idea of abolishing the fees for students whose future earnings, because of their degrees, will be much higher than for the rest of the population, is just plain crazy. The only reason they can do it in Scotland is because of the formula which unfairly gives the Scottish around £1,500 per head more than the rest of the country.

Clegg seems very even handed, genuine and gives prescience to policies that matter (or coincide with policies that i believe to be of most significance). And of course he has Cable who is an economical genius.

@fourplusseven When Clegg was asked about serving under Gordon Brown he did that thing and avoided answering a direct question. Then JP reversed it by using Clegg's own words by throwing in Tony Cameron. Clegg replies by insulting us and saying it is up to the British people. If you talk about hypothetical policies, why not talk about hypothetical future governments

@app1esuk : do you even know what "insult" means?? It is up to US the British people to decide, NOT for Clegg to choose to go with either Brown or Cameron. That is RESPECTING the British public. Jaysus, you've had too much Murdoch propaganda fed into you that you can't even recognise when you're actually being respected as a voter rather than being pissed on by the Big Parties.

@warmwollenmittens , Yes, although I stand by my point, in that ehe did not answer the question, Yes you are right in that he is respecting the people that vote for him, but not simply joining forces. But the principal is still the same. If there is a hung parliment, it will need someone to join with the largest party to form a majority government, that is simple politics.
