It might do, but if they ever try to kill Doomsday with the sun's help he'll just come back stronger.

Thing about Doomsday is that every time he's killed his body builds an immunity to whatever killed him. So death by kryptonie; his only weakness is gone and a few meteor abilities gained. Death from getting stabbed by his mum; his skin's impenetrable.

So if he dies by getting fried by some giant torch, then it'll last maybe a day or two...

How about, coz in the comic book series superman dies in the daytime. how about they fight during the night where doomsday causes more damage then when the sun rises weakening doomsday yes he will be inpenetrable but the sun allows superman to cause more damage on doomsday thus ending with doomsday killed by superman and then he dies of his injuries because he is not close enough to the sun for it to heal him
