Buck are you serious, you obviously have never seen a power lifting meet. A spotter on each side of the bar and one behind just like in the video for safety only difference is the spotter would have his hands right next to the lifters sides but would not touch him. In this video Darrens dad is the ONLY spotter for that much weight if he doesn't have his hands on him and something happens it is way too late with that much weight.
