This isn't a hoax, the wiimote is on. There are no lights because it is not connected to a wii, but to my computer. There was no code to turn the lights on, therefore no lights.

After you Sign Up, you will be provided with the Pocket Tanks download consisting of 250 weapons and the Hamachi Log Me In download which will allow you to play against other Pocket Tanks player over the internet. Tournaments will begin soon, but only after enough people have signed up!

indeed it was. Glovepie takes control over the lights, and i very simply didn't tell the wiimote to have lights on.
