what bb's were you using? I have this gun and it'll shoot a few straight then one will curve way off target. I'm using biodegradable .2's from Walmart tho.

@yougottaletmesee i wouldnt use those. they are very bad. use madbull or tsd bbs. if you want to pay the same price for bbs as the walmart, go with the tsd but you will see a great difference.

i have this gun and its just great. It won't jam on you so it's very reliable. I recommened this gun to everybody. Its also got massive range.

that's a weird noise it's making. anyway, how accurate is it, and at what distance. in other words, does it have a good 'effective range'?

@Burninator456 , just the normal sound of the gun. The gun is VERY accurate, these shots are being fired about 40 yards away from the bell and as you can see I hit most of them easily

I like Mid-caps too, but the ones i have for my g36 are very cheap and unreliable. This Thompson did not come with mid-cap magazines however, only low-caps..

I would definately recommend an upgraded battery. However, the magazine that comes with this specific Thompson is a low cap magazine, carrying only around 40 rounds. The increased rate of fire may become annoying unless you purchase a high cap or drum mag.

Yes, I know how to work it. It should say on the box that the gun came with. I'm hoping you know where the spin up is located, if not its the spinning black thing with ridges in it you can find on the top of the gun about half way down the gun. Test fire the gun a few times and see if the bb's are curving up or falling down after a bit of distance. If they are going down, adjust it by turning the spin up Upwards (towards the left of the gun) if the bbs curve up, rotate it downwards (bottom).

Keep testing it until it seems like it works just perfectly. Mine works fine all the way down using .20g bbs.

probably the m4 just because it has room for attatchments, adjustments, and upgrades as this does not, or is much harder to find. Plus im more into the modern guns than the old ww2 guns.

echo1 g36k for sure. its about the same price, but you can put attatchements on it and has SOO much more room for upgrades. its definately the best choice. not that this is bad, but first off, ive always liked modern guns better than old ones, and its rate of fire is better and lots of other things. pm me if you want more info.

yup! its not bad. the iron sights are pretty damn accurate. mine broke on my gun, but they still work. the hop up is okay.. but the rest is great

well, I bought mine from big 5 sporting goods for 150 dollars on sale. It was originally 230 dollars so i cannot say that 189 is a bad price!

well, it should if the drum mag is specifically for the thompson. If it said tokyo marui it should also because they are essentially the same model and shape. I've never used a drum mag for one though so im not 100% sure. Good luck

well, i was in the same situation between those two exact guns. If your a WW2 gun fan than they are both great. To tell you the truth, i have no experience with the mp40, but i've heard that it's not as authentic and reliable as the cybergun Thompson. I'm pretty sure the thompson has better fps also.
