I am a happy PS3 owner, and enjoy it immensely. Having built-in Blu-ray is a big reason to get one. If you are stuck for space, the PS3 has built-in blu-ray player, it also plays HD DVDs.
PS3 has HDMI and optical outputs. Meaning you can get the most of your games and videos.
My PS3 is HDMI out to my 3D Marantz 1402 receiver, and HDMI to my tv...Samsung 55" LED 3d tv. Optical sound cable from PS3 to receiver ensures I get top sound and video no matter what I do.

Got my PS3 with 320 gig hard drive and move add on. I'm slimming down for the Ladies and getting to enjoy a very immersive experience. Great graphics + Great Sound are both definitely contributing factors no doubt about it. I've been loyal to Sony ever since PS1 came out I'll never switch camps ever. I've just started playing FF13 and Disgaea 3 is coming in the mail. Lastly I like how I can play all of my old Favorites like Lunar Silverstar Story, FF8 and Dragon Quarter.

I got both consoles and they're both really good for certain types of games. For example,I enjoy playing FPS and Racing games on the Xbox while I enjoy playing RPG and Fighting games on the PS3.

Side by side analog sticks bad for aim on Sony, psx had use and throwaway hardware, quick wearing out disc reading thus. PS2 launch failures, dvd functions not working right, PS3 had a fairly safe launch though, but Sony's company and security in holding your information is a hit. Not all their fault, but could've done better.

If Sony put this guy in their commercials they could single handly never sell another PS3. You can play gamecube games on the Wii and play NES, TB 16, Genisis, SNES, N64 games on Wii. Also compare the mass effect 2 on the 360 to ps3. Mass effect 2 on the 360 takes up 2 Disc while on ps3 takes up one. I love my playstation because i can always rely on its online servers... just kidding... i was smart, built a pc.
games are free online, offsteam at full price theyre still about 30-50% from the retail copy, and then they have massive weekend sales.
PC is the only gaming method out there that you dont need to buy a whole new setup for each time they tell you to dump the old one.

Side by side analog sticks bad for aim on Sony, psx had use and throwaway hardware, quick wearing out disc reading thus. PS2 launch failures, dvd functions not working right, PS3 had a fairly safe launch though, but Sony's company and security in holding your information is a hit. Not all their fault, but could've done better.

If Sony put this guy in their commercials they could single handly never sell another PS3. You can play gamecube games on the Wii and play NES, TB 16, Genisis, SNES, N64 games on Wii.
