  • I actually picked up my balisong and tried this out. this is a great trick; however, when you came up with it you are (at least in my opinion) not considering those who have a T-lock, it is hard to do both this trick and the houdini when your main method of rotation is a square. I can sometimes do both of these tricks, yet after trying many times i still felt that you were only thinking of those with a Spring lock

  • knowing me i would throw it and get it stuck in a wall

  • ok thx guys

  • you can do latch drop from either position. I can do a vid if you want.

  • hey is there a difference between a normal butterfly and a balisong or is it just a "better" butterfly? Pls answer

  • @nicodejo98 Balisong is just the original Filipino name

  • @nicodejo98 no they are the same thing its technically a balisong, "butterfly knife" is just a nickname

  • I could do this but not the houdini

  • not that hard lol

  • fucking awesome trick, thanks

  • (clicking a Different video now)

  • this isn't that hard....nice...

  • dude i'm lookin to buy another balisong what specific knife would you recommend? thx

  • This move does not work right if you T latch is square not round like yours is. Good video tho props for that.

  • after throwing the knife across the room 20 times i realized u dont let go

  • what kind of balisong do u have and if discontinues what would u recommend. ty

  • Lol I can do it it's cool

  • I would try this and the houdini if I had a balisong with a latch... I wish I had a 42 :'(

  • i would really not recomend this sport to anyone i know, maybe the ones i want to bleed to death.

  • @idoGutman22 i bought a 12 buck blade and its razor sharp...ive nearly cut my fingers off atleast 3 times and ive had it for an hour...my hand is literally covered in bandaids x)

  • @Loveismamssg27x toldya XD

  • @Loveismamssg27x funny thing is ive handled balisongs for about three years but i got rid of my balisongs a year ago and recently bought this one and had to reteach myself the old tricks i knew lol

  • how much does a benchmade 42 cost

  • @scArfAcE97iii depends they arent in production anymore..but normally one will cost you anywhere from 300-400

  • @scArfAcE97iii 150.00

  • *does latch drop with safe handle away from me*

  • @KainArcher188 hey look a new move!

  • i have a square latch. i think thats why im having trouble. lol

at least i havent thrown my knife yet :D

  • Dude, you look like the singer from yellowcard.

  • i wish this guy still did tutorials

  • First try nuff

  • I'm a noob and I did it my 3rd try :D

  • learned it in 3 mins tight move tho

  • man if i made a move up THIS cool, i'd keep it to myself and refuse to teach anyone so it'd stay unique cuz tats a cool move bro :D

  • keep pressing 8 xD

    DA KNAIFE

  • hopefully i can learn this on my bottle opener lol

  • man, I really need to get a better knife. I can't do it with the latch on the one I have now. benchmade, prepare your collective butts...

  • ..Is that a cold steel knife? It looks like it is. xD

  • @Astrenar no, a benchmade, model 42 I believe

  • Y UR HAIR DIE!!!! You actually look(shockingly, it shuldnt be possible.) EVEN COOLER THAN BE4!!!!!! U R TEH COOLEST PERON! EVAR!

  • Shame it doesn't work well on the BM51

  • this is stupid. doesnt even look cool.

  • It*

  • Azteckia it a douche

  • im terrible and not even intermediat...actually i got my knife lasr week and ive been doin this for 3 mins and its funn as i was about to click enter i threw it

  • @azteckia are you ever gonna make another balisong video or another video at all?

  • haha this move is sick nasty got it on my first try by accident :P

  • The way i can imagine myself attempting that and stabbing someone o.o Nice tut tho :)

  • thx man, my knife just flew at my face. Balisongs are fun!

  • Lols just did it and got it on the first go WOOT!!

  • im a total beginner, dont know the houdini , mastered this move bout 80% , yay thx :)

  • wtfffffffffffffffffff

i can't do this with my szabofly!! D:

  • barely saw this vid and i already master the move lol

  • srsly azteckia start by showing the fucking move and for gods sake nobody thinks latch drop moves look good, go fuckurself with a latch drop that's all u can do cuntback

  • whats the song

  • Difficulty: Advanced???

    It's easy :)

  • Wow, this is the fourth one of your videos I've watched, and 4 out of 4 times I've cut myself. Nice tutorials though! Great job! :)

  • i bought my balisong 2 days ago and i already did a zen rollover, the houdini, the viper and lots of other tricks :)

  • It's not advanced, it's so easy. (I'm not asian)

  • @Yanconvict

    IT'S EASY! (I'm from Poland)

  • @balis6ng co za asy

  • that nigga crazy

  • this is real cool but damn dont close your hand real tight when your learning or else youll stab your palm

  • thats so cool i can do it even though i suck a the houdini..... lol

  • DID U STAB URSELF AT 3:14???? and u were right the harder u throw it the easier it becomes thanks man

  • i think a trick is to open you hand up a little im sure someone already comented this

  • i got this trick my first try..thought i was the man..then tried it a second time and cut off my left index finger at the 3rd knuckle..witch is weird cause im right handed. should i put it in a glass of milk or a bag of ice?? hurry im bleeding to death.

  • well at least you had enough time to type that before bleeding to death

  • @Jesuslovesyoufools To start off I bought a rlly cheap bali off amazon made of titanium so it will not brake dulled the crap out of it but it can still stab, when learning a move I use that and when comfortable I move to the sharp one :D

  • @Siegevehicle lmao dude there is no way you found a titanium bali for cheap man..titanium coated maybe but i highly doubt its titanium..can you link me if this is true?

  • @ENDVash sure, I cannot find it on amazon again, but I got one like this ht tp:/ /w ww.amazon(dot)com/Stainless-Handles - Butterfly- Titanium-Knife-super/dp/B004V6A40A/ref=sr_1_118?ie= UTF8&qid=1318222495&sr=8-118

mine was square on the bottom cam for about 18 bucks no shipping a little hard to open just enough play, today it flips great but it took 2 weeks to get it flipping well, it also had no latch gate.

  • nice video!

  • i actually got this on my 1st try and i still cant do the orbit or the houdini :D

  • got it first try

  • this is really hard for me because my balisong as a cube shaped latch while the 42 has a cylindrical latch.

  • @paintdataint indeed!!! i was trying for a little while and it stated hurting bc/ its angular

  • @paintdataint same here.

  • lol, i got it first try

  • do u ever get cut

  • what the fuck it does not roll around with me it just fucking does nothing

  • same here through laptop, anybody knows the video "how 2 fix impale laptop"?? anyone??

  • it sort of hurt my hand but its worth it thumbs up if you think its rite

  • Knife went through the laptop

  • try when swinging it back twards you at the end to push away at the same time while in mid spin

  • good thanx

  • Nice!!!!! i'll give it a try.

  • I'm myself just now getting into balisongs - this video, and the concept of the viper-dini are amazing. So glad I found this channel...

  • Very cool , kid. Im gonna look 4 the whodini now.

  • This trick is sick. So much fun to do over and over and over and over..... O.O thanks a bunch, bro! ;D

  • ah not hard at all lololol

  • wow your tutorials are great i learned the moves

    around the world

    houdini

    and viper

    in less then an hour

i do them pretty sloppy and sometimes a bit slow but i can do them :)

  • the trick is to throw it in sorta a counter clockwise way

  • lol not good if the blade hits your pink on the way back like it did for me hahaha

  • after 3-4 tryes its getting easyer and more natural :D thx for the tut

  • is your name joal

  • who makes a tutorial on a move they dont know how to explain?

  • could you direct me to a good knife forum? i would love a benchmade 42...

  • I can do it i just need help in catching the handle that flys out any tips?

  • omfg I was wondering how could I make this, I checked the houdini video and now I know that I have to hold this small part :D Awesome!

  • @Nerra36

I bought one in greece for 19 us dollar (15 euro) and its not fake :)

  • wats that song

  • i did it first try oh yeah

  • Your thumb is huge, thumbs up! :D

  • hahaha the secret is the conservation of rotational energy.

  • lol... I thought of this on my own a few years ago too.... I called it the stab and return opening.... your name is way cooler..... I should have made a video.... oh well

  • way easier than a houdini

  • I'm assuming you don't actually ever LET GO of the knife? Just hold on to the latch? I can't really tell in the video.

  • how did you come up with the name "azteckia" just wonderin because it sounds cool.. oh yeah great vids, and you come up with alotta moves

  • Is this move and the Houdini only capable if you have a pin latch? Because my balisong has a T-latch and I'm finding that they are both significantly hard to latch rotate. Great vid.

  • It's significantly harder with a rectangular shaped latch. Your latch is cyllindrical and easier to roll. Anyone else finding this hard because of that?

  • nice move

  • i threw my knife XD, anyone else?

  • @JiffGomez yeah...

  • @JiffGomez me 2 almost broke my screen

  • @JiffGomez haha yess im so happy i read this comment because if i hadnt i would have thrown my knife at my dog

  • u r the best balisong instructor on youtube and ps will my local knife store have a benchmade 42?

  • Yea that's easy I do that move when I'm going into a fighting military style of holding a knife

  • in soviet russia knife jerks you

  • @jack9938 ouch...

  • @jack9938

I know I'm staying the fuck out of soviet russia, that sounds painful.

  • I made it with first try... Easy, and just too cool ^^ Thanks bro

  • OMG im a beginner and i got this one right away! TYVM dude!

  • nice and simple trick.

  • i think this is easier than the houdini

  • way easier than the houdini

  • Comment removed

  • anyone know where to get a benchmade 42 for less than 280?

  • hey this actually isnt that hard I tried it a couple of times and I think I got it :D

  • I think we all invented this move at one point in our lives ^^

  • Dude I was doing that in the 3rd grade Ha!!!!!! I call it the ice pick

  • Fuck! I actually discovered this move before seing your tutorial! I thought I had made a new move! I have got to find a camera and start uploading.... But I like the name, 5stars.

  • dang it what kind of balisong is as good as a benchmade 42?

  • Lol throw it harder? What exatcly are the chances of you cutting your wrist open with this?

  • My friend, Hudini its a little different way to latch drop

  • man thats so ez i been flipin for 2 days and i cant do the houdini but i did the viper in about 5 tries

  • dude yeah me too. two days is all you need. i dont see why it takes some ppl years

  • i love this move. its definitly my favorite one. wuts wierd is i cant get the houdini from the latch drop position but i can get it in the viper position. awesome move.

  • Great move, unfortunately a marine taught me that move about 15 years ago. I think he called it an icepick but long time ago. Awesome move though.

  • easy -.-

  • i'm selflearned and when i figured this trick out. i found it more easy to twist your wrist away from you, then just hold in the saftyhandle and release drop the other handle. In that way you use the gravity insted of "throw" the sharp edge. But good quality in your film :)

  • itz easy 2 do once u get it

  • holy shit that worked first try and i never saw the houdini video

  • yup that is easy trick

  • Comment removed

  • holy crap this looks scary to try... i might cut off one of my fingers when i pull it back hard...

  • awesome idea. Balisong knife and fork set :D

Also, if you're cutting urself all the time, why dont you just tape up the blade?

  • Love this move! simple but sweet! ^^

  • can u only do this with the benchmade bcuz the latch it circular...i cant do it with mine

  • kinda sucks balisongs are illigal here i have one tho

  • Haha slanting it, and then jerking it back XD.

Nice tutorial dude! I got it down.

  • i wana be a flipper toooo

  • lol before I ever watched this video I was doing this move, but very nice.

  • looks tight

  • How do you do a movie on accident

  • you get really bored and you fling a knife around

  • he meant move

  • cooool trick but i cant do it cuz wen i pull back it doesnt automatically roll but nice vid

  • i got the hang of it immediately and ive done it all day, ive only had my balisongs for 3 days and im comingh along very well (i would assume) thanks to you bro.

  • A good way to think of it is a horizontal latch drop... Or more like throw.

  • this is easier than the houdini for sure lol first try

  • ok i was bad at the houdini but i got this pretty easy!

  • i jus started 2 day but im startin wit intermediate becuase if i pick uyp bad habbits by doin easy stuff it could get sloppy cuase im so used 2 it i dont apply myself but got it first try

  • man im just learning this stuff using another citizens tutorials and while im looking around i find the houdini and i try it and think WTF MATE? next vid is the viper. i try it and it works first try. this is so great!^^

  • i got big hands, and a jaggid small latch, so it is uncofertable... but i got the viper right away, but cant get the houdini...

  • Name is very fitting, it does look a lot like a snake striking out.

  • lol it looks so dangerous, it looks like if you let go of the balisong, itd fly towards your face. but Im a noob, i dont know much about them. Is it easy to accidently drop it or let go of it?

  • nice job dude ur good at making up moves

  • 1:58 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!!

  • haha, YES!!

  • who sings that song?:)

  • lol i dunno how u figured this out...it takes some balls to just hold on to the latch and throw the knife as hard as u can lol

  • good vid got it instintly good vids

i have 1 queastion tho? can u show some kinda advance moves nothgin to hard but ecent ones ty
