  • Excuse me!!!!!

I was always taught that Talofa Lava meant hello.....

  • Talofa Lava is usually used as a response to "hello" or as a "Thank you".

In Samoan, there are many ways to say one word - just like in English.

  • OHHHHH

  • Thank you so much for creating Samoan Street, now I will actually be able to understand my husbands family!

  • okay, i know "faapaleina1234" was rude in his criticism, but he/shes right. theres no point teaching the language if you aint speaking it right. ae malo lava le taumafai...i might just make my own video.

btw, luv ur samoa street episoides...the gay/not gay dude is hilarious. also, ur hot. i love the sound of ur voice.

  • Well the only folks that can speak it 'right' are Samoans or if you've lived on Sa for a long period. I'm not either, so my accent might have caused some confusion. But if it inspires Samoans to make their own language video - then my work is done.

  • Good morning= Manuia le taeao.

  • come over for a coffee psilent and i will teach you more.. nah just joking.. good work.. hope to see you post more.. malo uso ..

  • Then here's a suggestion - why don't you make a Samoan language video? I'm trying to help spread the Samoan language to the masses, all you are doing is adding unneeded criticism

  • I agree

  • thank u for posting these videos up, i can't find a class that will teach the language around my work schedule. I am half and anything that helps me to understand and speak the language PROPERLY is a great resource! Thanks again!

  • i got respect keep producing these videos so the language will neva be lost. ia manuia le aso ma le vaiaso faafetai
