@TheEocene Kinda....... His main mic is the wireless headset he has on. The handheld mic is a backup in case the the other wireless goes out..... they do do that from time to time. Also, after singing for years with hand helds, he probably feels comfortable holding one. Sometimes in the studio I run across singers who sing better with something in their hand. So I put up the main mic and a prop for them to grab or hold.
