@Films4You Sure, but since they would never offer that amount, he's taking the proper approach. He has several thousand GOOG options with a strike price of $100 or less. He's in the money about $350 per option X the # of options he has which. if I had to take a stab at it, about 10,000 - 50,000 options. 10,000 options for Matt would be about $3.5M and if he has closer to the 50,000 option range, it's $17.5M. So, even if Bing offered $10M/year to him, he's not going anywhere.

Lets see if we can remember back 10 years ago. Back then Google was just a Really cool idea for a search engine, unlike the yahoo's that tried to distract u from what you were after. Google went in a different direction simplified everything. Now with Buzz, Google docs, earth and the entire catalog of cool idea's they have released to the world. They were not just a "game changer" but a world changer to boot.

What an amazing ten years it has been.

The Best is yet to come.

Google is build from loyalty, philosophy and principles. Microsoft is just another fortune 500 company looking to make a profit.

@webmastertool i think you gotta look at different dimension. Once you committed 9-10 years at a company, it's really hard to move because of all the benefits and perks you are attached with the company. For instance, the stock. Also, Google and Microsoft are very similar in many online business. It usually makes no sense to move to different company for same work. Plus, I think Microsoft is making really good changes recently, looking at all the recent announcements and products.
