This was a cute film. The romantic chemistry between Redford and Winger was great here, even though he is old enough to be her father. Deb Winger is just too cute in this movie; I have loved her ever since "An Officer And A Gentleman". (Not believable that a lawyer in the 1980s would not have learned to drive though.)

The girl who plays the Redford character's daughter is very sweet.

And Steve Hill as the DA foreshadows the role he played so effectively for years on "Law And Order".

A friend of mine was a friend of Jennie Dundas who played Jennie Logan (Redford's daughter) in Legal Eagles. She said that the scene where she's getting ready for school while something burned in the oven took hundreds of takes. You'll notice that her tie is really crooked in almost the entire scene, but it's tied on perfectly straight in just 1 shot which was shot in the morning. The rest of the scene was shot later in the day when Jennifer said her tie came loose and she forgot to fix it.
