Wrestlemania 17,19, 22, 24 were great. Summerslam 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005 were great. Backlash 2007 and 2009 were great aswell! Oh and survivor series 2002!
@Strangepete same way i feel both world title matches were amazing, trish was hot as hell and paul bearer is always great but their was more gimmicky stuff at wm 22 imo...which is why i dont see them as the top two. probably in the top 15.

I liked Backlash but I'm surprised there are so many people saying it was better than WrestleMania. I mean WM had MITB which was great, it had Matt vs. Jeff which was a LOT better than their match at Backlash. It had Jericho vs. the legends which was better because it was our first time seeing Steamboat back. And it had HBK vs. Undertaker which will probably be MOTY. Backlash had a lot of GOOD matches but nothing really amazing outside of LMS. Only thing better about Backlash was the outcomes.
backlash was awesome. I agree with the 8 rating. 8 ratings should be really rare to give, 9 is almost classic, and 10, WoW I cant wait to see a 10 Classic PPV. but with wrestlemania out of the way, it will have to be perfect stacked card mixed with great matches to deliver the show.

as a wrestling ppv this was an 8. Just because we didn't have someone jump through the top of a cage and completely miss his opponents doesnt make it a bad ppv. punk vs kane as TS said was a good match although punk should have gotten the win IMO. CC vs Swagger was a great "wrestling" match. And hardy vs hardy was great. The only thing that saved lockdown sealed it as "PPV of the month" was that all the matches were cage matches.

The reason the 6mentag match was so long imo had to do with that the WWE wanted to make Ted & Cody look strong. They had to fight HHH's team by themselves in the beginning and they stayed in the match. Then when Orton joined the showed that Legacy as an unit was strong. All these months Legacy got their asses kicked and in this matched they showed they could hang with the big boys.
I wasn't in love with Taker/HBK is everyone else. I thought it started flat but the last 10 so minutes was really good. But I thoughly enjoyed Edge/Cena which is rare to find a WWE I really liked this year.
listen i love kane, and i am happy he finally got his shot when was the last time he was invovled in something one on one in a ppv, the fact is the gave him a little push, cm punk had gotten it all of last summer
Hilarious that the only way Triple H would drop the belt and put some one over was in a 6 man match and then only when he got distracted. LOL
BTW I am glad Kane won I hope they finally do something with him, he could be a great heel if he actually won matches, he was starting to do some interesting things back when he was in ecw.
At the point when Cena and Edge like...clung together, all I could think of was the line from Macbeth "Doubtful it stood as two spent swimmers that do cling together, and choke their art."....wow thinking of Shakespeare during a WWE PPV....interesting.
u really overrated the main event, the only good thing in that match was the last 10 minutes about cena dropping the big fu and edge still getting up besides that the match was so fucking slow so was the hardy match and the 6 man tag

Thought it was a great PPV, better than Lockdown and Wrestlemania, and best ppv wrestling wise is a long time.
Cena vs Edge was amazing, best match on the show and a great finish to what i hope is the absolute end of there rivalry. Age of Orton resumes, whats not to like. Khali seg was shite.
Hardys match was amazing in my opinion, they went for a less is more in terms of spots and told an amazing story which really worked in the end.
The fact that the fans 'turned' on Triple H at the end of the match is irrelevant in the world of the WWE. All they will do is have Triple H come back as a heel based off of that moment - by which time Orton will either end up losing the strap to Batista or Cena (both bad ideas) or Orton will be allowed to grow as champ (great idea) and the fans will eventually mark out for him
....either way Triple H and Vince will find a way to weasel him back into the title picture. Sad but true.

i was actually there live and opinions from people actually being there live and people who watch it on ppv are different but I agree with most. No really bad matches, but the really good ones were the ECW championship match and the WWE championship match.
I thought the PPV overall was really good. Solid wrestling all around. I loved when Cena threw Edge into the crowd. That caught me off guard. I didn't like the Kiss Kam segment but I didn't think it was as bad as Truthslayer said it was.
I gave it a six as well and that's just being generous, honestly I'd lay it to rest with a 4.5(out of ten). The .5 like someone else said because of the Big Show coming out at the end.
I thought the Last Man Standing match was awful. Half the match was the referee counting after something like a sleeper hold. The match was extremely slow and didn't live up to past Last Man Standing match standards.
it was a rlly good ppv man, i was there and the crowd was hot all night. i cannot tell u happy i am that orton is finally the champ. overall backlash was very solid.

as a wrestling ppv this was an 8. Just because we didn't have someone jump through the top of a cage and completely miss his opponents doesnt make it a bad ppv. punk vs kane as TS said was a good match although punk should have gotten the win IMO. CC vs Swagger was a great "wrestling" match. And hardy vs hardy was great. The only thing that saved lockdown sealed it as "PPV of the month" was that all the matches were cage matches.

The reason the 6mentag match was so long imo had to do with that the WWE wanted to make Ted & Cody look strong. They had to fight HHH's team by themselves in the beginning and they stayed in the match. Then when Orton joined the showed that Legacy as an unit was strong. All these months Legacy got their asses kicked and in this matched they showed they could hang with the big boys.

I wasn't in love with Taker/HBK is everyone else. I thought it started flat but the last 10 so minutes was really good. But I thoughly enjoyed Edge/Cena which is rare to find a WWE I really liked this year.

Hilarious that the only way Triple H would drop the belt and put some one over was in a 6 man match and then only when he got distracted. LOL
BTW I am glad Kane won I hope they finally do something with him, he could be a great heel if he actually won matches, he was starting to do some interesting things back when he was in ecw.

Thought it was a great PPV, better than Lockdown and Wrestlemania, and best ppv wrestling wise is a long time.
Cena vs Edge was amazing, best match on the show and a great finish to what i hope is the absolute end of there rivalry. Age of Orton resumes, whats not to like. Khali seg was shite.
Hardys match was amazing in my opinion, they went for a less is more in terms of spots and told an amazing story which really worked in the end.
Kane vs punk was great, very physical

The fact that the fans 'turned' on Triple H at the end of the match is irrelevant in the world of the WWE. All they will do is have Triple H come back as a heel based off of that moment - by which time Orton will either end up losing the strap to Batista or Cena (both bad ideas) or Orton will be allowed to grow as champ (great idea) and the fans will eventually mark out for him
....either way Triple H and Vince will find a way to weasel him back into the title picture. Sad but true.

And it is my opinion I know he is popular just personally don't get it. He bores me as I feel the WWE in most cases can take the fans for granted because unlike other promotions people are never hard on anyone as they are in un WWE companies. Just imagine if Cena started elsewhere and did the same thing etc etc. Would he be as popular?. No because the WWE created the hype for him. This is just my opinion.

In my own opinion. I am a fan as we all are. We all don't work for a wrestling site or a wrestling mag so we as fans can have that opinion. If he is suppose to be this huge star I do wonder why everyone is so split about him. I never liked the Hulk Hogans of wrestling I feel that is what Cena is and it's 2009 not the 80s but that is my opinion as we all have and should have on our own.

Christian and Swagger match was great, jericho steamboat was fun to watch, Cm punk vs kane was kinda bad jeff hardy matt hardy at the end was awesome and the right people won in the championship matches.

i was actually there live and opinions from people actually being there live and people who watch it on ppv are different but I agree with most. No really bad matches, but the really good ones were the ECW championship match and the WWE championship match.

I thought the PPV overall was really good. Solid wrestling all around. I loved when Cena threw Edge into the crowd. That caught me off guard. I didn't like the Kiss Kam segment but I didn't think it was as bad as Truthslayer said it was.

I thought the Last Man Standing match was awful. Half the match was the referee counting after something like a sleeper hold. The match was extremely slow and didn't live up to past Last Man Standing match standards.
