Like if that's genuinely your thing, then fine. More power to you. It is just an unending annoyance that I can't find any clips of the axe 2 doing something other than jazzy or fusion esque styles of music.
First off, MY video of the Axe FX II was 3rd or 4th one posted on youtube so if you saw tons of people playing music you don't like... their videos came after mine and I have NOTHING to do with what styles other people play on their AxeFX units. Second of all, I play in an original Thrash band, so can I play heavier stuff, yes BUT, that is not why I want an AxeFX II for. I have a VHT/ENGL amps for that.Third, I have no idea why you picked MY video to post your comments on.
Ugh that shit has been done to death. Every guitarist in the world apparently plays bluesy and jazzy shit. Whatever happened to being unique or artistic? Just playing whatever sounds appropriate instead of this strict scale, overdone crap. Comes with a grotesque attitude in most cases too.
Thanks man. But I think JBL simply can't do it justice. I guess they just wanna show people how it sounds with mid/low range loudspeaker. Cause that's what most people can afford.
@misawa520 Sounded much better than I expected actually. At first when plugged in through the power amp and cab it did not sound good and I almost asked for the JBL's to be plugged back in but, then Matt started tweaking via the editor and then it started to sound good. You can definitely run it either way!
It was set up to work well through the JBL's for the presets they had set up. When connected through the Carvin amp and Mesa 4X12 the EQ settings needed to be changed. Once Matt started tweaking the interface it started to come together.

Sounds great. Love your playing too - some really great phrasing - inspiring!
Considering selling my AFX Ultra and upping to the II.

@OzoneJunkie Thank you very much for your words! I do think it's worth it as there is a difference in "feel" between the two units.
