I bet you would know what "Arc Force" does if you read the "Owners Manual" before using the welder. But, don't let me hold you up from having fun with your new welder.
@eduardo14l lincoln electric is an american company that makes industrial machines, most made in america, some made in mexico. longevity is an american company that sells import machines from china, ment for hobbyists and home and farm shops. So no the arcmate is not better, the lincoln is a much better machine.
ARC FORCE- Basically it is a soft or crisp setting. The higher you go the more harsh the arc is but you get better penetration! The lower the more stable the arc but you get less penetration. For MIG I would probably go about right in the middle. The rustier the metal the more I would turn it up but not much. Hope this helps
the arc force on the miller Mark VI when stick welding it basically controls how much the arc dips/penetrate into the metal..but i didnt mess with it much..
I have heard a lot of people say Mig Welding is easy, but what is the overall difference between Arch, Mig, and Tig welding? Any pros and cons to each one?
Its easy to learn, but you need gas and clean metal. Rust, paint, things of that nature mess up your welds. Its also just for lighter stuff, you cant weld heavy material with it, like you could stick.
Also, arc welding refurs to all types of electric welding.
But alot of people use that phrase instead of stick. Stick is great for heavy stuff, and dirty metal. you can also bend electrodes to fit tight spaces. Not so good for light stuff.
