@YoLninYo I received my MSP430 today, and just downloaded the software, it was free. This is the MSP430/C28x download link, as provided through the wiki. Just sign up, fill out the form and download. If you are having trouble signing up, make sure cookies are enabled. Registration/Login worked fine for me as of 20 minutes ago.

it would be very nice, if marketing managers could take into account, that non native english speakers want to understand the video as well. They usually do not have to receive english spoken text every day. Highspeed-train pace is way too fast. Thus search here on Youtube for the good examples of the "EEVblog" how this could be done for electronic stuff..Thank you.

I think he did just fine speaking to engineers and beginners alike.

Beginners get the gist of the board plus get a lot of clearly spoken vocabulary that they can look up to get started in electronics. EE's get all the basic info as well, but there is not much else to glance from an unboxing in my humble opinion.

Its like a 5 yr old trying to example how radio works to an adult, solely based on the experience of tuning in a local radio station.

Also I take offense are the term 'marketing engineer', its like calling garbage men 'sanitation engineers'.

@dlmarti You do realize this is mostly targeted towards beginners to whom most of the jargon used in this video is strange, if not a bit overwhelming?

I'm in that position myself, ordered this because I have always been interested in electronics, wanted to learn more but never had the chance to do so.

Also, just because you're an engineer doesn't mean you instantly know everything about electronics, there's several areas of engineering and most only include a basic introduction to it.

Can you program other chips of MSP430 familiy with this kit? I would say there are pinouts for spy bi-wire?

For example like with eZ430F2013 and eZ430RF2500?

@wooosaiiii You should be able to program the eZ430F2013 and the eZ430RF2500 but not all the MSP430 can be programmed using SpyByWire that is what that kit uses. But on the one you mention you are safe
