  • Self-help tips start at 3:00 minutes.

Seeing if this works for me. Hope it does since I am waiting to get into an Oral Surgeon. My pain is constant in my left side of my entire head neck (including jaw/ears/eye/neck). Probably will undergo some sort of surgery. Thanks for the video and hope this works for me (and for others as well).

    Best of luck to everyone...

  • Oh my gosh, I can actually open and close my mouth again... AMAZING!!!

  • you can get rid of it forever with functional cranial release / self-treatment (it's free, though I'm hoping for donations heh)

  • @Kabaraz01 scam artist.

  • LOVE THIS !!! works great!!

  • WOW. I've been dealing with this for years, first sign of relief thanks a lot

  • I love the face people makes the first time they hear my jaw clicking xDDD

i've had this for years it hurted the first days but it stopped and i got used to it.

  • Self care...things you can do for yourself. Really?!?! NO WAY!

  • I was about to call shenanigans on this video because it didn't work at first. Then about two-four minutes later the clicking I had all day stopped!

This is awesome thanks! And I live near Chicago so once I get some $, I will be making appointments!

  • that helped so much....holy fuck.

  • i have tmj but why does it hurt the most at night?

  • My wisdom teeth are coming out, can this be related to my tmj

  • This video was a great helpgot me thru the 2 days till my dentist appointment.

  • WTF THAT WAS AMAZING thanks lol

  • thanks for very good/simple video :) I would so be in your office if lived closer! Dctrs where i live, well aren't the best to say the least. I know a lot of mine (not all) is stress esp lately. When I've had EEG's done though it always takes forever cuz you have to relax your jaw. Not exactly an easy task for me. The exercises did help a bit; just time & hope some pt in the future, more options for all of us out there.

  • Another wow here! This actually helped! Not a cure, but definitely felt less pain after this pressure exercise.

  • this helped so much...thank you!

  • wow, that helped!

  • Oh my god, after just doing this once while following the video I noticed a big improvement. I cant believe it!

  • Wow, this actually works a bit.

  • Wow. My left jaw does not click as bad now.

Still feels a bit misaligned and a bit wobbly, but a definite improvement.

    Thanks.

  • Yeah, sucking dick is pretty awkward with TMJ.

"Oh baby, I'm gonna give you head" -CLICK- -click- -click- -click-

I hate it. Anyone with me?

  • @ElementaryPhysics I don't suck dick but yeah TMJ sucks pretty bad

  • @ElementaryPhysics Totally with you! Happened to me last month, I had to quick halfway through because the clicking was so annoying and embarrassing!

  • i luv tmj y would i wanna get rid of it??????

  • Wow, i love you, never thought it could get so much better by such a simple massage. Thanks a lot!

  • for me "bad bite" is a huge understatement compared to what my x-rays looks like. also i m already at the "tingling nerves in the fingers" stage which is the last stage. sumtimes it s worse than other times, so what i do when it s worse is take anti inflammation medicine for like 2 weeks then it goes away a bit and my shoulder retains its normal size :) then it comes back and i do the pill thing all over. the homedics shiatsu massage pillow is also a miracle. damn i fucking thought i was alone

  • I must tell you, after almost 2 months of having TMJ pain this video helped me huge it went away in less than 2 days.. amazing.. so last week a friend mentioned she was going to the dentist and paying 500.00 to start testing for her TMJ pain, I told her please try this video I am going to email you first.. she told me today she cancelled the dentist app. and I saved her 500.00 bucks.. I told her GREAT but HE saved you!! THANKS AGAIN!

  • I want to say thank you again I am back to send this link to my friend now.. its the best!! Cheers

  • i have braces on and when i was wearing the elastics they put on to move the teeth i started having realy strong muscle pain teeth grinding headaches locking of the jaw and poping my ortho did not help he just told me to take tylenol but i cant sleep at night im always in pain he left my retainers and braces on at the same time i feel my whole face and bone structure has change he dont want to help because most likely he has to start the job all over again and he dont want to what can i do

  • This vid is so amazing, yes it does work I did try the others too, but this guy knows his stuff

  • it helped thank you =)

  • Ohhh yes yes yes yes!!.... perfect!... It feels so muucchhh better.

  • thank you sooo muc!h....I watched 3 times, that made me feel good, the down movement stretch, my left side jaw was so tight my back teeth wouldn't touch without pain, wish i lived near Chicago :(

  • Not only are you reeeeaaaalllly cute (really you are) but you may have just saved my life because to be honest I was on the verge of tears and wantign to end it all (not a joke)

    thanks hot stuff!!!

  • I had a lot of dental work done and now it huts when I open my mouth. Dentist said I am clenching at night so I got a hard bite guard. I have no popping or anything. I have headaches in my temple, some pain when I open mouth, and my back molars will ache. Really sux. Been having it for awhile...

  • I'm soo upset every time I open my mouth it clicks very loudly, My head is killing because of it. It used to only occur when I ate something, but know it happens as soon as I open my mouth. Help!!!!

  • Can singing bring on TMJ dysfunction?

  • omg it hurts sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo baddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd thanks for this video :/ i just wish it would stay away ...

  • tmj is a condition attributed to serious depression in people. If you dont believe me please ask the Professors at the Eastman Dental Hospital ( University of London ).

Who is anyone compared to them??

  • @londoniran Do you suffer from this dysfunction? If not, then perhaps you should not speak to things of which you have no experience. Perhaps the serious the depression you speak of is brought on by a malfunctioning TMJ and all that entails. It is quite miserable. I also happen to possess a set of x-rays that prove it to be physical condition. Thanks to a quadruple wisdom tooth extraction, my joint is as out of line as your comments.

  • Furthermore, the professors at the Eastman Dental Hospital are merely men and therefore fallible, the best they can do is make an educated guess. And we all know what they say about opinions...

  • @Juliequeen77 my joint is as out of line as your comments. lmao. i loved that line! and yes it's a miserable condition. it actually causes you to feel depressed, not the other way around.

  • OMGosh... Thank you so very much for posting this!!!!! I cannot begin to tell you how I have suffered.

  • I think this site will have many visitor since the Dentists in southeastern Michigan are crap. They can't get a bite correct at all. My condition has been on the decline for about 6 years. The dentists just make it worse. I give up on Dentists. I've looked high and low and can't find a good one in the Detroit area.

  • Thank you!

  • thank you

  • The prosthodontist made me a splint which has cut my pain to 0. This is wonderful! I hope he'll be able to fix my crowns.

  • Thank you. This was very helpfull. I believe this will help me!

  • wana bet ? put your money where your mouth is.

  • always

  • felt my jaws release. left jaw cracked. im gonna give it a few more tries. Thank you for posting this self help video.

  • My underlying condition is bad bite after a bad dentist adjusted 4 crowns on my right upper side. Dental schools are turning out highly paid idiots!

  • @cactimargie, can't agree more. I'm from a small country, had great dentist cared my teeth up until I immigrated here. It's ironic that plenty people think that U.S. has best of everything, so I was one of them. Thought doctors got to be better trained and practiced here. WRONG I WAS! I got screwed so badly by the dentists here in the sense of quality of life. Hard to find a trustworthy dentists here unless one got lucky.

  • This video fucking saved my life.

  • this really helped; thanks for the info

  • i have suffured with TMJ for years.. the pain was overwhelming..i was in bed for days at a time. BUT Rrecently i have been drinking a green smoothie everyday: kale, collards, spinach, parsley, cilantro, lemon and have had no pain whatsoever since. Hope this helps.

  • its a psychiatric disorder my friend.

  • want to bet?

  • Possibly sometimes

  • Comment removed

  • @londoniran here you are again with your fucking preaching. you cunt! it's not always a psychiatric disorder! i have x rays and mri's to prove it. my jaw joints are full of athritus, the joints have eroded, the muscles, nerves, and tendons in my cheeks, especially the right side are heavily damaged. the joints are displaced. my bite is thrown off, all kinds of shit. you ignorant fool.hope you get tmj as bad as some of us have it and some cocksucker says to you oh it's from depression. fuck off!

  • @roejogan8 you idiot. If you have arthralgic problem in your jaw then it is not TMJ- it is arthiritis. Its easy and not difficult.

  • @londoniran arthritus is only one part of it. i have every single symptom of tmj there is, asshole.

  • @londoniran WELL GO TO THE EASTMAN DENTAL HOSPITAL AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE IN LONDON. THEY HAVE SPECIALISTS THERE AND PROFESSORS TOO.

  • before it pop when ever i opened my mouth and i kinda have more control over it, big improvement,!!!!!

  • Thank you for this video. Short time relief is sometimes what's going to get you through the next hour of pain if you're having an episode, so thank you again.

  • Thanks a bunch for this video. It has helped me relax my muscles in times of pain. For all the people commenting you have to realize that these instructions are just for temperary relief of muscle tension that may cause TMJ pain. We all understand if you want to treat the condition on the long term you have to see a dentist or doctor or whomever. And no he's not "full of crap" as what he shows us does in fact work, but only for short term relief, give him a break.

  • this is soooo good! Thank you!

  • These instructions do help to relax my jaw muscles and make the area feel better, thanks. I've known that I had TMJ on the right side of my jaw for a long time caused by a missing molar on my left side that ended up causing me to chew food on the right side of my mouth throughout my teenage life. It's gotten to a point where I am getting ear aches and cracking that joint several times a day, so I will also ask my dentist/doctor about it.

    Thanks!

  • Great vid! I have suffered TMJ Dysfunction for three weeks since my dentist put an over-sized crown on my molar. I am a long time sleep grinder/clincher and since the new crown I have taken more than one hundred tylenol, about fifty advil and twenty five prescribed Naproxin. I NEVER take pain killers so that gives anyone reading an idea of the pain associated(including ear soreness). The massgae on this video helped almost immediately! THANK YOU!!!!

  • wile watching this video, my jaw clicked....i was like FUCK!

  • Suggestion to all of you, before you check your tmj, rule out something called eagles syndrome. He didnt mention styloid process calcification and that DESTRYOED my jaw as well as some very important structures. Now that I had the styloid taken out, I need to correct my tmj.

  • Say all the people that experienced immediate relief...This guy is only trying his best to help people with their dysfunction without first seeking medical aid. The person in the video didn't HAVE to be doing this for us but he was nice enough to do so. You have to give people respect out their who seek to help people without monetary gain. I live in Canada so I am lucky enough to not have to worry about medical expenses but many people in the US do, instead of flaming him, thank him.

  • braces do not fix TMJ, I have had braces and after braces were off TMJ pushed my jaw back to original position

  • Thanks for the video. Two days ago I just found out that I have TMJ, but I never feel my jaw click!

  • Obviously you're not too stressed. You looked like you just rolled out of bed. LOL Comb your hair and shave "dude" . I thought you were going to fall over asleep a couple of times. ha ha, you're a riot.

  • Thank you for taking the time to share that with us, it does feel good... I need an operation for my dysfunction :o(

  • This type of therapy can help you feel better. I do this once a month sometimes twice. Stress and anxious..are you kidding? Do you live in the dark ages? Of course stress affects everything however, a tmj disorder of the bones can be caused by many things such as braces, accidents and arthritis as well as other causes. Patients do get massages, he is right on this. But do your homework and look into the LVI philosophy of treating tmj. It is the only scientific way.

  • the right side of my face is aching all the time, the right side of my head aches all the time and down the side of my neck, ive had it for about 6 years, its really afecting my quality of life, the only way ive found to controll the pain is alcohol, its driving me insane

  • @funguysmall i had terrible tmj, i would spend weeks in bed at a time. went to the doctor and found out i have a vitamin d deficency which i am told is very common. since going on vitamin d my tmj has cleared 100%.

  • @funguysmall @funguysmall i had terrible tmj, i would spend weeks in bed at a time. went to the doctor and found out i have a vitamin d deficency which i am told is very common. since going on vitamin d my tmj has cleared 100%.

  • I know how you feel, if you haven't seen a "tmj" dentist, google one in your area.

  • @funguysmall Keep drinking.

  • @miles228 Ha hahahahaha so funny

  • @funguysmall I had this problem for a long time, try some ultrasound or laser treatment? I found this very useful

  • @funguysmall ... OMG... the same exact thing happens to me.. and it's only my right side.. i'm always thinking it might be a tumor or something similar.. but i've been to so many dr. visits.. and all they say is that it is tension and stress.. what the hell???? i'm tired of this feeling.... only alcohol helps...

  • @bettyboop882000 I know how you feel! Im still having pain myself, in the begining i was worried it may have been a tumor or something like that but at least i know what the pain is now, when i went to the doctors they kept putting me on antibiotics saying my ear was infected! then i saw a specialist and they confirmed the TMJ disorder that i diagnosed myself by looking on the internet, most common GP's have never heard of this disorder.

  • I have suffered 15 years with jaw problem consisting of clicking jaw and now the right side stiffness and hard to open. Could did have happened due to me years ago pushing my lower teeth in my mouth. Pushed it hard enough to strain the jaw? I think so. What can I do, mouthguard didnt work or exercises.

  • I work at an answering service at talk for at least 8 hrs a day 40 hrs a week, and this massage which I noticed before I saw your video really works! My case was/is severe, on heavy meds and my jaw actually locked. Thank you so much for the info, my Dr was unhelpful when I asked about massages, etc for it. Thanks again!

  • Hi! Thanks for the information! I've only recently realized that I have TMJ! I don't know if I'm being paranoid, but I feel like it's changing the contours of my face.

Can you recommend a therapist in the NYC area?

    Thanks again. Best, Jennifer

  • Dr. Ira Klemons. He saved my life. He obtained the first (possibly only, I forger) PhD in craniofacial pain and has been treating tmj disorders for over 40 years. He's in NJ. I live in Brooklyn and signed up for zipcar. It's a 45 minute drive from my place is traffic isn't backed up. Totally worth it though. I have my quality of life back. But if it's not painful I don't know that I would go...

  • this helped so much thanks:]

  • Give it time and be careful to rest the jaw in a hanging position, not a biting position. Your face corrects itself and creates a "pseudo-disc" if you leave it alone. This is where the tissues and muscles accomodate to the new position. But this only happens if you're not biting down all day long.

  • how long would that take because i've not been moving my jaw and the muscles are starting to go back into place or accomodate the new position or something, but i don't know how long to do it for.

  • also look for a acupunture (misspelled sorry) book or food treatment for tmj becouse its food related also bad foods like junk food couses strees on your body and mind /:)

  • all day? Not even eating? Can this so called TMJ even be treated? Or is it permanent once you got it? I've had it for 2 years and ive been to a couple of dentists and A tmj specialist, and none of them actually told anything about how to get RID of it.

  • wow can this pathetic disease called TMJ GTFO???????? it just appeard like a month ago in me and its getting way worse i want it too go awayyyyyyyyyyyy

  • your streesing out now with this comment relax and eat healty foods RELAX :)be calm and try not to think about issues that bother you it really works.

  • is it advisable to undergo extraction of impacted wisdom tooth though i have tmj?

  • Did you find an answer to your question?

  • Hi, I am a Dental Hygienist and Massage Therapist. IF you are in a "flare up" with your TMJD you will want to wait to have the extractions done because having your mouth open for the amount of time you will have it open is not advisable and will only exacerbate the pain of the TMJD. I would, if I were you, get someone qualified, to perform therapy and then go get the extractions. Hope this helps...

  • do you know if impacted wisdom teeth can actually be the cause of tmj?

  • Wow, A) thank you SOO much for letting people know that EVERYONE has a TMJ oppose to TMJ disfuntion! B), Awesome info, thank you. Is that basically stipping and some ischiemic compression, eh? Do you have any tips for inside the mouth work?

    thank you.

  • thanks so much :) that really helped

  • ahhh some relief =)

  • That really does work thanks alot!
