  • Jeff's better diba!

  • shit that's great! thanks for sharing :)

  • Before there was Hard to Say I'm Sorry/Get Away, there was Searchin' So Long/Mongonucleosis!

  • Chicago 1-VII, IX and X really cooked! They should have stopped after Kath died.

  • Chicago needs to turn the piano back up in the mix !

  • The more I hear these wonderful, tragic and most talented guys ,the memories keep flooding through the wonderful 70's and of course the Terry Kath days that has become an enigma.Yeh!!!

  • Love Terry in the St. Louis Blues jersey and wailing his ass off. Fk, he was awesome.

  • Hendrix was so spot on about Terry, i'll bet Terry had some great stories when they toured w/ Jimi..

  • EXELENTE CALIDAD DE SONID Y VIDEO ! ! ! THX ! ! !

  • Peter and the band in it's prime.

  • @mja2035 not to nit pick but this is after their prime.

  • @txlastrebel their prime came right away as they recorded their 1st few lps and those early yrs of touring 1969-1971 i would say were their best yrs, 3 great vocalists, performers, instrumentalists, and a great rhythm/horn section... Bliss.. oh and great writing, equals mongo success, but yet still no hall of fame? that is a crime..

  • @MOSKII58 I agree. That was my point. Their first 3 LPS were pure genius.

  • ooooooooo- I love (the old) Chicago and especially this song. But this version is dreadfully dull and uninspired. As for PC's vocals, my throat hurts listening to him attempt to squeeze out those high notes. Ugh! Best to focus on his great outfit here.

  • OH MY GOD, I `VE JUST FOUND MY SONG, I LISTENED THIS SONG, WHEN I WAS

A GIRL , I LIKE PETER CETERA`S VOICE SO MUCH, NOW I PLAY THE CHICAGO´S SONGS AT MY ELECTRONIC PIANO (WITH PIANO, TROMPET, GUITAR VOICES) , I WILL BE SEARCHING THIS PERFORMANCES AT YOUTUBE WHATS ABOUT WISHING YOU WHERE HERE, HAPPY MAN, COLOUR MY WORLD?

  • i disagree with julian. what this performance says is that #1: it's a hard song to perform but really the main argument is that Peter sounds spectacular, even slightly off tune. this particular set is one of my favs that youtube has to offer.

and i'll resist blowing any cred i have by commenting on how hot peter looks.

  • @kimberkley You tell em girl! pC still looks hot to this very day! Oh baby baby baby!

  • The great group known as Chicago seemed to come to an end for me when Terry Kath passed away. However this performance seems certainly not to be one of their best. Terry finally gives it some needed energy.

  • I love Terry's guitar playing on the live version of this song much better than the studio version. I wish Guercio would've let him cut loose on the album version like he does here.

  • I've have grown to love the live versions of this song more so than the studio version. These guys were really good live back then and today too.

  • P.S. thanks billyjoelfan for another great post!

  • Okay, I like to keep it mostly about the music, but I saw Peter having problems with the bass here and Terry having problems with his guitar during "I'm a Man" at Tanglewood and I thought, wow, only these two could make having problems look really really sexy...........guys, you have to forgive us girls for straying from the music, but sometimes you just have to call it as you see it!!

  • @carina2244 I think Terry was hitting his guitar for sustain of feedback, not really having a problem if it's the cut I'm thinking of.......

  • @carina2244 I HAVE WANTED TO SLEEP WITH PETER CETERA SINCE I WaS 13!

  • @carina2244 That's because the were stoners....CHICAGO ROCKS!

  • wisesatyr72 - Actually the bass is a standard 1972 Fender Precision. Fender has always made a great bass. I know I've been playing them for 38 years now. They are the best that's for sure.

  • it's a Fender Jazz Bass

  • Sadly, it sounds like the bass went out.

  • Wow! It's just like Chicago but with a great soulful singer and some great sweet drum hits.

  • It is Chicago! DUH!!!

  • peter cetera would look awesome in a potato sack with a kid's xylophone!!

  • Peter Cetra looks awesome w/the outfit and that custom bass

  • UN FREAKIN REAL!!

  • one of my favs. love peter's hair in this one!!!!!

  • I understand why you're saying that although they aren't really playing badly (other than Lamm always starts too fast). One of the reasons why you might think that is don;t forget the studio recording has a huge string track on it that they don't even try to simulate live.

  • very hot. what a swagger!

  • vvbvbvb

  • Great!

  • Watch Peter at the beginning when he begins singing. Something is wrong with his bass, he isn't playing it and points several times to someone below him to fix it. After Terry plays his piece, it switches back to Peter and he is finally playing the bass. Wonder what was wrong.

  • for some reason this is one of the ones I watch over and over because of that - just to see Peter bein Peter I guess...

  • maybe that's why I watch it all the time too...it's one of my favorites... he's just so cute all the time, even when things might not be going just right.

  • Very fashion forward Peter. he would look good in anything, and he is aging like fine wine. He is aging with grace and dignity. Looks great taking care of himself and sounds superb.

  • Great vid and thanks for posting! Some of the "Rhinestone Cowboy" outfits Cetera used to wear are funny looking, but it was 1977 after all.

  • He wore it well.
