overclocking a cpu is not hard , you can do it through BIOS or even with software, in windows i mean (like the new motherboards, come with overclock tools)... but you have to make sure that you have a good CPU cooler , and a good motherboard(chipset) that let's you make a ''good'' overclock , like overclocking 1Ghz :P ... The most important point in Overclock is to make sure ur CPU is not overheating ... and get a new CPU cooler is always good (: even not overclocking

Zalman CNPS9500 and some Thermalright cooler are good too(don't know the name sorry , but most of them are very good) .. if you didn't see those cooler , you can always look for large heatsinks that has heatpipes ... and has a fan too
