  • Germany was winning the battle, don't believe me? watch Battlefield. The RAF was collapsing.Until Hitler decided to bomb England and with a reason, the RAF made a ineffective night raid on Berlin it did nothing to Germany but Hitler was mad.

  • @DarkBlitzkrieg46 yeah it is scary that is England hadn't bombed berlin then they would have lost control of the air in a matter of weeks and then within a year been out of the war leaving russia alone... which would have led to a long drawn out war eventually being won by germany o.O

  • Sad to see two Anglo Saxon countries knock the crap out of each other. Amazing hell for leather war but just like WW1 too many people had to die.

  • Stukas vs Spitifres?!?!?!? Oh dear, don't make me laugh

  • Now THIS is how you film dogfights, real planes none of that CGI s**t aka the film 'red tails' - looks awful.

  • Fucking square head cunts. They were pretty good at murdering women and children but the dirty hun cowards soon came unstuck when they had to face a proper army, be it the USA, Russia or Britian and its empire troops.

  • Great movie, would have been perfect if they had captured a couple of me110's and maybe a defiant on film

  • Übler Kriegsschinken.

  • 3:19 leeeeeeroy jenkins!

  • Finaly the Chanel (Pas de Calais/Street of Dover) saved Great Britain from the superior military power of the Wehrmacht

  • Spitfire -next example how American technology saved the world from Hitler

  • The best dive-bombers were the "Helldivers" (pacific campaign).

  • Hello English guys , i love you all

  • I would like someone to answer me this. Was Hitler really ignorant? Why would he think that the British, Americans, and the Soviet Union would just fold over? Did he not learn the history of these countries mainly the U.S. and Britain? Why would he think these countries are soft??? I don't get his thinking.

  • @TexanHeat1 Texan, roflmao - Figures. The only major thing Hitler did wrong (Strategic wise) - was trying to take charge of the troops instead of letting his generals do their job. They were doing fine, the Blitz - you name it. The enemy had no idea what to do. "We're under atta....What the hell?". Now, all of that is a good thing - Otherwise, you'd be talking German too. Americans only joined very late and did nothing compared to the brits and the russians,

  • @aztaclalz Of course. He micromanaged too much.

  • @aztaclalz hitler was the largest factor of his own defeat, the invasion of russian being the most significant by far. He should have focused on the middle east oil fields to fuel his tanks and took time to prepare for a british invasion before invading the brutal steppes, and stopping the tanks annilating the british expeditionary force is another example of his failure. And americans did not do 'nothing', no nation could take on the might of nazi germany alone. Coming from a brit.

  • @SKNews2 almost correct... if there had been a slight change of plans in russia he would have won... russia was on the brink of defeat and managed to come back... most people neglect that germany had the 2nd most powerful industry in ww2...

  • @27thlegion Just to clarify one: I´m German - and I thank God, that we loose the Second World War (Not the first one, of course. I wish we would have won the First World War. Germany would retain at least its eastern territories - and the world would be spared by Hitler remained!) The main cause of Germany's defeat is the same as in WW1: The entry of the USA into the war!

  • @truecologne America's entry was not the main cause of defeat in ww1, I'd say it was the german generals fault who failed to execute the schlieffen plan properly by counter attacking the french too quickly and being drawn in the marginot line to be massacred. Had they drew the french in enough, they could have have surrounded paris like in the war with france 50 years back. And in ww2 America was getting their butt kicked in the pacific until Midway.

  • @SKNews2 After the Peace Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, could the majority of troops from the Russian front be seconded to the German western front for the spring offensive 1918 - but in the meantime, troops of the Allied forces had been reinforced by fresh (USA!)

  • @truecologne I'm not dismissing the USA's contribution by any means, but the war was lost for Germany in 1914 with the failure of the schlieffen plan, germany knew they had no hope of winning a 2 front war, and the plan was critical. After the battle of the mame, it was pointless slaughter. Americas entry helped hasten german defeat, but was not a main cause, but a factor.

  • @truecologne i am not saying i wanted them to win.... i am just saying that alone no country could have hoped to win against them...the fact of the matter is that if the battle of britain had gone the other way then america would not have had any chance of lierating europe they would not have had anywhere to launch it from

  • @27thlegion north africa....

  • @runningcockroach what about north africa? if you are talking about where america could have launched from you are very wrong.... there are many reasons why north africa would not be viable eg the entrance to the med is easily defended and it would be hard/impossible to gain air superiority from a couple of carriers

  • Comment removed

  • @27thlegion I am aware of the reason for failure in russia, but my point stands that he started the war prematurely.

  • One big mistake in this movie: No Stuka rear-gunners are seen to try to defend themselves.

  • Well......shouldn't be over here bombing us then. You get what you pay for

  • Stuka Party :)))))

  • It's quite simple...the Germans shouldn't have fucked with the RAF!

  • Those peel-offs at 1;46 & 1;55 are enough to give you goosebumps.

  • The Ju 87 (the Stuka), a single-engined dive-bomber, was probably the easiest enemy aircraft in the war to shoot down because it dived straight and pulled up straight. This was a requirement of its special type of bombing. (Douglas Bader, Reach for the Sky)

  • Stukas without fighter escort??????? Hehehehehe

  • Britain was the first country to put up a fight against the Germans and win.

  • @gladifly British Island monkeys xD

  • @gladifly They didn't,Germany lost the fight Britain didn't win it.

  • @DarkBlitzkrieg46 i never said that.

  • Did Rudel (the most decorated German soldier of highest honour) ever flown his stuka in the battle of Britian? Back in those days, there was no precision weapon like laser guided/TV guided bomb and Stuka pilot were the best of the best pilots, dive bombing can made the pilot heart fanted!

  • How cruel and brutal those Spitfire pilots strafing bullets at those loned Stukas,I pray for their souls and families!

  • Stuka pilots were galant flying warriors! By the way, Stalin was lauging loud in the Kremilin when British Germans killing each other!

  • ah this not that funny, it was very close that europe was all german...and many british and germans died in war for politic idiots..=/

  • Britian fought in the wrong side of WW2, they shouldnt against the Reich, instead they should join the Reich against the greater enemy, the Bolsheviks run Russia, The Soviet Union! Josef Stalin was the biggest winner in terms of 'wartime politics'and Winson Churchill lose everything that brought the British Empire demise and fade away!

  • @pakurangaguy Er no, Britain had already begun granting independance to the colonies before ww2 even started, the war may have hastened things a little, but the break up of the Empire was inevitable anyway.

  • Stukas were deadly accurate, moreso than artillery, but lacked the defensie armarment to make it an effective

  • Stukas remind me of vultures, flying low an picking on targets. don't spend to much time on one before a 109 is on your tail.

  • I love the roar of those merlin engines

  • I love Stukas :)

  • Stuka VS Spitfire is like a Van VS a Porsche. Stuka weren't made for dogfighting =P.

  • @aztaclalz Yep, also calling this a dogfight isn't very smart, its just the spitfire firing its cannon on a bird.

  • @aztaclalz Because the German Messerschmitt 262 Jet didn´t exist in 1940. It came 1943 - to late for German victory, thank god!

  • @aztaclalz I agree, that's a cheap entertainment with no historical reality! ;)

    Thumbs up!! ;))

  • @aztaclalz

    Exactly.

They just dropped their 'dirt', and that was it. The Stuka's were decimated, shot out of the sky. They were withdrawn from the battle, never to take part again.

They were a complete disaster, despite the courage of their aircrews.

  • @twinstu50 They were quite amazing bombers in the beginning of the war - Note; Bombers. They weren't made for dogfighting as this propaganda-movie angled it ;). So claiming them to be a disaster is a bit harsh - Picking on german engineering is just a sign of jealousy. No I am not german.

  • @aztaclalz In the movie they forgot the Messerschmitts wich bring down the Spitfires..

  • @NutzerYOu Because it´s a propaganda film of the allied victors

  • @aztaclalz who said they were used for dogfighting?

  • @DarkBlitzkrieg46 Someone earlier claimed it.

  • @aztaclalz not true. they just couldnt ESCAPE a dog fight, but they had the lowest stall speed and could lose a fighter with a quick turn easy.

  • stuka vs spitfire = pigeon vs falcon lmfao

  • @excl0213 oh what? What was that for you stupid prick. Fuck you

  • @TalonMercenary Lmao, you cant even answer properly, little kid. Go read some books and them come argue.

  • @excl0213 look at you removing your comments you Argie cunt

  • @excl0213 and what kind of argument is that? Pathetic, you're not even putting forward coherent points you fucktard

  • @TalonMercenary Yes I am, 1939 Germany would have destroyed the UK. You are only comparing planes, I am comparing the whole army.

  • @excl0213 1. I'm talking about 1944/45 not 1939

    2. Tanks do not make up an army

    3. If Germany is so grand as you say it is, why did they not "destroy the UK"? oh thats right because both their navy and their airforce SUCKED

  • @TalonMercenary ........Or they were fighting on 3 fronts with a minor army and winning most of the time. Kid STFU and go back to school.

  • @excl0213 you still here you little cunt? Run along now back to your slum house, i'm bored of you now

  • @TalonMercenary Told you, you don't have any proper answer or points. I believe you realized you have lost, goodbye.

  • @TalonMercenary UK vs 1939 Germany = Cheese vs Panzer Tiger....lmfao.....

  • @excl0213 In the later stages of the war, Centurion tanks would have been able to destroy any German tank put against it

  • In World War Two, The German war machine was rolling up the map of Europe, country after country, falling like dominoes...One by one, nothing could stop it, nothing...Until one, tiny, damp little Island says No! No not here.

A mouse in front of a lion.

We owe so much to the people that fought, and aided our military during that time.

  • @EmsionProductions What many people dont realise is that the axis could have taken out any one opponent. Had Germany not attacked either England or Russia, the other wouldnt have bother them for a time. Had Japan not bombed Pearl Harbor, America would have not had the production to do anything until it was too late. Saying one of the allies won the war is like saying your hands are sole responible for you picking things up.

  • "Been to the wars have we?"

"I say, I seem to have taken a bullet through the eye."

"Bloody bad luck, old chap. Here, put a bandage on it and you'll be as right as rain the morning."

  • britain sucks

  • BOLLOCKS!

  • SUPERB sound engine Rolls Royce Merlin!

  • Id like to se a modern film of the battle of britain too.

    Plenty of material there.

The first defeat Germany had suffered.

the RAF at this time were quite technologically adavanced with ground to air radio and radar.

    Much more advanced than germany.

    + superb planes and pilots.

    The Luftwaffe had a shock..

  • @zenoist2 Watch what you wish for. Take a look at how a film like "Pearl Harbor" turned out.

  • Stuka's vs fairey battles would be an interesting dogfight

  • eat that nazi pigs!! brittish will newer surrender!!!

  • @TheAirsoft91 shup up jew lover

  • 27 People bet money on Stuka's

  • That WILL teach those fuc!ing germans not to come near are land again

  • The very prospect of a stuka shooting down a spitfire is stupidly impossible.

  • lesson that historic victory that changed the history of the world.

Today, thanks to the British we are not under the Nazis

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN AND LONG LIVE TO ENGLAND

  • @MegaPier66 - The royal family is bloody german - Jesus Christ!

  • @MegaPier66 im british and even i have to say the americans helped and so did Australia and New Zealand and russia Britain did a bloody fantastic job at holding off hitler but if it weren't for the Russians, Americans pussying out in their battle and nuking japan (the only reason you nuked is because you began to get pushed back and you started to flack because your enemy was an enemy the would fight till the end no matter what it took. and assisting the north african campaign

  • @tracker2241 the russians for taking back half of Europe and conquering half of Germany. the australians and new zealanders for backing up the british and even the south africans for taking a vitally important u boat base in madagascar you can not base the entire victory of WW2 on britain admit they did a fantastic job but it wasnt just them

  • @tracker2241

All the Empire's Comrades are brothers. Thus, we are one. We may be no longer an Empire, but the love for all the former Empire countries is still there.

  • @WolfytheWolf5667

indeed, and now they are colonising and slowly breeding us out, what glorious comrades they are

  • @tracker2241 - What an incredibly ignorant thing to say, regarding US vs Japan. Japan was already on the ropes in 1945 (since America had beaten them so badly on land, sea, and in the air) and some would say that the use of nukes was actually debatable at that point. You really have a dismal understanding America's role.

  • @sudaev japanese where making footholds before the nukes, you lacked supplies, medicine, the armor, and the man power to actually continue, you did a good job in north africa and europe but japan could of been done a lot better, and the use of nukes just proves this because americans had plans to actually take japan

  • @tracker2241 - You don't know what you're talking about, Mr 18-year-old.

Of course there were plans to "take Japan". It would have been a horrific battle, and I take offense at your silly remark about "pussying out". The Japanese probably would have fought to the death defending their home island. The Pacific theater was a long and difficult time for everyone and I really don't know what your point is (and don't care).

  • @sudaev admit my knowledge of the pacific war is limited compared to my knowledge of the western front but all my facts there are true but my point is america isn't as great as everyone thought it was in the pacific yes the where damn right good giving the circumstances but they weren't amazing like everyone thought they where and also the nukes where out of fear they hit japan in the right areas so there where so tactics involved but if you ask me fear and im not replying to anymore comments

  • @tracker2241 - LOL you can barely put two sentences together.

  • @sudaev i don't care for punctuation to be honest on the internet speaking to people i don't know

  • @tracker2241 - OK, retard; thanks.

  • @sudaev yep, if you knew what a retard was, you wouldn't being saying that, anyways piss off, i'm not replying to anything more

  • @tracker2241 - OK, kid.

  • @MegaPier66 Dont forget the soviets.. they took a bigger beating than anyone in the whole war.. i know american and britain werent fond of them but .. Britain won the air war , best pilots in the whole fucking war, and Russia won ground control , and america was the big helping hand in all of it

  • @Julian24151 Germans had the best pilots of the war. Simply look at aces of the war.

  • @MegaPier66 I think your post would have been more suited to thanking the Russians. The Battle of Britain was not the turning point of the war.

  • @MegaPier66 No ur under the muslims instead. I go to london and I hear a raghead standing in a minaret and shouting shit on his camellanguage And on top of that I have to walk 30 mins to even spot a white person. Save ur patriotic internet-blessings for later, ull need them in real life when they are the ones trying to take over England.

  • @MegaPier66 wow stupid fucking english bastard, waht do you mean thank the british were not nazis?you should thank the soviet union you cocksucker if we didnt invade the soviet union the briiths subhuman dogs would of had been genocided by their german overlords, you fuckin british dog subhuman, fuck your god, fuck your queen and fuck your shit country

  • @ilias2oo6 Suggest you comment in krautese next time Fritz, as your English is shocking!

  • @ilias2oo6 YOUR spelling is bad sir

  • @MegaPier66 Yeah...the British and the 51 other countries that were allied against the axis powers...moron.

And even then, the war was won with Germany's fuckups.

  • @quinnweller No other country held out against the Germans like we did

  • @aspiringdrummer17 Whatever you say. Oh, and France and Poland would like a word with you.

  • @quinnweller France and Poland were completely over-run. The only the reason the Germans let the French keep Vichy is beacuse they sued for peace

  • @aspiringdrummer17 Not that beeing an island had anything to do with that...

  • @pdcouto It's true that it did give us an advantage but if the Germans were as amazing as they were made out to be then this shouldn't have been too much of a problem for them. Germany's lack of a navy (at least compared to us) and their underestimation of British resolve were what cost them this part of the war

  • @MegaPier66 Thanks awfully old chap.

  • i want to be a pilot my favourite plane is MIG 21

  • They deleted after the battle of Britain the sirens because they were annoying

  • I wonder which would win in a dogfight - Stuka vs Fairey Battle

  • GREAT Airplane,GREAT Engine!

  • And to think...the War was lost by the Germans because one pilot mistakenly bombed London...and Harris ordered an attack on Berlin in response. the Luftwaffe was within 2-3 days of beating the RAF and the outrage Hitler felt for the bombing of Berlin...cause them to stop pounding the airfields just as victory was within their grasp. With a secure west they would have been able to focus all on the Soviets and would be a different world we would be living in today.

  • @ThePendrag0n

Maybe. But modern war historians have simulated what would have happened if Operation Sea Lion got a go ahead in 1940.In even the most optimistic scenarios for the invading German army they simply couldn't turn the invasion into a victory. There's one very good reason for this. Germany simply lacked enough landing craft to land a large enough force on the beaches. An invasion of Britain would have been costly for Germany and Hitler needed every man he could for OperationBarbarossa

  • @ThePendrag0n

What Hitler really hoped was for Britain to negotiate some peace with Nazi Germany. Hess even parachuted over Britain with the hopes of coming to some "understanding".

Btw, the plan to bomb London was around in the German high command even before the mistake bombing. The idea was "sound" and they reasoned that RAF would scramble everything they had in order to protect the capital, hence making it easier for Luftwaffe to "gloriously defeat" them. Arrogance was rampant.

  • @ThePendrag0n Luftwaffe was'nt even within 2-3 months of beating the RAF pal, only in the film, in reallity the RAF boys were in fine fettle even though they were outnumbered 3-1, we had plenty of brave men ready to replace the lost pilots, lost planes were replaced within 48 hours, i think winston said it all when the nazi's called it a day, we shall never surrender,

  • crap

  • History says britain protected its country END OF STORY!

  • @bhoyjack True True, after the Napoleon era ended the French seemed to begin to lose its military advantage, the did not to too badly in WWI but WWII saw immense humiliation for the French people

  • @gloomunster

Who gives A shit. It did the job.

  • The odd thing is, the blast from the near misses of the Stukas passed through the radar towers causing little damage. The stations were put out of action when power cables and the actual buildings nearby were hit. The Stuka lost a lot of kudos over Britain.

  • allez les spitfire cramez les!!!!! yyaaahhhh

  • One battle the american's can't take credit for! lol from Canada!

  • xD HAHAHA BRITTISH GAY TALKING 1:32

  • Swarms of the sods ! Bloody marvellous !

  • didnt stukas have a automatic pull up system of sorts, regardless epic film.

  • we brit can stand strong no matter how little we are

  • @Bender2522 and us canadians always have your back!

  • @sutton123454 Why do people hate on canada ?

  • @Bender2522 No clue, we've never lost a war lol

  • @sutton123454 lol

  • spitfire ftw best plane in my opinion

  • @Bender2522 uhm i would rather fly the me262

  • Please can any body recommend me in the entire world of war movies (any movie fom any country a movie which is realistic about the 2ww ???? i am enough of stupid British especially American hollywood movies (where every German is the evil side, the bad boys, stupid, coward, prepotent, ugly, scared, coiled) i am sick of this shit!!!!!

except the staljingrad by the way its a german movie.every body knows who was the german soldier in 2ww the best of the best

  • @amirturist yeah, the NAZIs didn't deserve a bad name at ALL did they....Letters from Iwo Jima is about the Americans and Japanese but depicts the Japanese as being kind and true human beings, that is an american movie so don't go shitting on everything that is American just for the sake of it being American.

  • @amirturist

Das Boot is a very good and emotional movie about the U-Boat crews that portrays the tragedy of war from both sides. I've heard that moviegoers cheering the loss numbers for U-Boat crews were left silent at the end of the film.

12 O'Clock High is an excellent film with great acting that depicts the effects of combat fatigue.

  • @FiveCentsPlease I watched Das Boot nice movie thanks!!!!!!

  • the british where on thier knees(lack of pilots and aircrafts, they were totaly destroyed by the luftvafe)!!! every body knows that well...but the big error thet hitler made was that he changed the tactics in the last minute>instead of carring on bombing the military targets(wich were also totaly destroyed) he started bombing the cities and towns wich later was proved as a disaster!!!!!!!

  • @amirturist The British had plenty of Air-Craft, There problem was Pilots! And the R.A.F never got destroyed by the Luftwaffe, We humiliated them 3-1! Also the Nazis never stopped attacking British Industry/Military targets, etc The Nazis tried everything in the Battle of Britain and failed. Bombing Cities was to crush Civilians morale so they would surrender, The Attacks on Military,Industry targets had failed, Air-Craft were been build 24/7.

  • @am

True but the German fighters had a very short time over the UK whereas the RAF had all the time it needed. British Pilots bailed out over the UK and were able to go back up, not so German.

    Further German morale quickly suffered.

Even if they had destroyed the southern airfields it is by no means certain that the German could have been victorious.

  • 0:10 "Stukas!"

  • Why send a Spitfire to do a Hurricane's work? :)

  • @VersusARCH

    heh heh heh

  • @VersusARCH I heard somewhere that the Hurricanes were actually better

  • @harbingerthehappy Hurricanes shot down more German aircraft during the Battle of Britain, than all other aircraft and anti-aircraft measures put together. They went for the bombers, the Spitfires kept the fighter escort busy; at least that's how the strategy developed. However they'd reached the end of their development potential. Spitfires had plenty more development potential left in them so they became the main defence fighter for the rest of the war.

  • @RattytheSecond The Spitfire Mk.24s served until the late 1950s. One of the aircrafts with greatest upgrade potential.

  • @stepheng1483 You need to study history! Hitler wanted power and would do anything to get it. Do witchcraft, kill innocent civilians, commit war crimes, and when Hitler thought he was winning he turned on his allies and started killing them. I seem to recall Hitler declared war on Russia and they weren’t help the Jews and they weren’t and still not Jews. The Jews didn’t have their own nation/country at the time not to mention control Europe. They have not had a strong nation since 930 BC. Wake up

  • POLAND FIRST TO FIGHT

  • 25 people are German

  • @PredatorSnipezZ and u are 0:40

  • My favorite part of the movie is when that jerry bloke turns and screams "SPITFIRE!"...an all too common phrase over the cliffs of Dover. German pilots, fear the Spitfire, and fear the mullet.

  • 0:40 PWNED

  • 3:38 LOL.

  • honor a la luftwaffe

    luftwaffe honor

    Luftwaffe Ehre

  • Stukas were never used as a "terror weapon" again after the Battle of Britain why? "The power of an air force is terrific when there is nothing to oppose it." Winston Churchill
