  • I don't get it. Why would you adjust your thermostat constantly? I never adjust mine, I just sort of keep the temperature i like.

  • Lol learning? It's not different then any other cheap programmable thermostat.

  • I have been messing with a couple of honeywell and other"digital" or "smart" thermostats recently, and the non/standard installation instructions and programming instructions totally suck. they are like motorola phones or first generation vcrs. sure, you can, with perseverance, get them to work, and get them to do approximately what you want, but they are a kludge, a homebrew computer club solution, and its not 1972 any more

  • that is not the first learning thermostat. Honeywell has had something called "adaptive intelligent recovery". The thermostat learns how long it took to get to the temp you want and adjust for the next time. It's always adjusting the time it takes to get to the desired temp. This one is just pretty. That's all

  • cost outweighs any monetary savings in energy, when a basic programmable thermostat will suffice.

the real attraction here is the aesthetics of a higher res color screen, graphics, and wifi access.

this is a simple application, if successful, clones pop up and the price will fall to something more reasonable.

anyway, been doing this for years with my Crestron system.

  • so when you put the heat on does it look like HAL?

  • From Ipods to Iphones to well this....

  • interesting product - very similar in concept to the intel home dashboard concept shown a couple of years ago.
