  • this is a educated video

  • I'm a second year medical student at Glasgow Uni and we don't need to wear gloves when dissecting! We had to wear them for large bowel dissection but apart from that it's been optional so far. I prefer to wear them a) because we're working with sharp objects and b) because of the smell lol but many of our profs don't as the cadavers have been enbalmed by formaldehyde and are looked on as harmless. Anyway, useful video :')

  • i dont like to eat a roasted chicken again after watching this

  • very helpful and detailed!

  • tmj very difficulty system ~...

  • hey, it's clear - thisi is just an artificial model for the presentations. nobody will work on real flesh without gloves on. )

  • @iliana99ila

This vid was made in 1977....long before gloves were required, even owith live/bleeding patients. This is a gross anatomy dissection using a human cadaver. Orig. air date: JUN 6, 1977. So, YES, this is real.

Everything changed in the 80's when AIDS was identified, and you are right, today nobody will/would work on real flesh without gloves.
