@CMY187 Honestly, he kind of has a point. As much as I hate to admit it, good storylines are needed. It's one of the reasons that ECW got successful, they put out these well done and edgy storylines in the 90s, and they pretty much kicked off an era that way, like Beulah and Kimona. Paul Heyman realized this, and capitalized.

Sadly, during the years of mostly 2005-2006, WWE saw fit to mimic this trope that ECW set, and they did it horribly, such as the case with Guerrero/Mysterio.

Richards has openly stated that he believes that storylines should not be what defines a wrestling programme, and I completely agree with that. The occasional gimmick (Delirious) and storyline (ROH vs CZW) could be entertaining, but there should be a limit and a line, and unlike WWE and TNA, ROH has always been careful with it.
