@leonlec Good luck with your flight! Try to get a window seat beacause watching the landscape from high up in the sky is the best method to kill time. (Much better than QF's inflight entertainment)

@cairns65 EK ist ja meine absolute Lieblingsairline. Damals als Emirates noch nicht so bekannt war bin ich immer zwischen Frankfurt und Dubai gependelt, weil mein Vater dort gearbeitet hat als das baggage handling system im T1 gebaut wurde. Schon komisch wenn man überlegt, dass früher nur ein paar Flugzeuge da standen und heute sind da Emirates-Flugzeuge so weit wie man sehen kann. Früher hat man noch richtig den arabischen Flair gehabt, heute kennen viele DXB nur noch als Touristenzentrum.

@swan777 I surely will! EK is my fav airline anyway, I flew several times with Emirates to Dubai and Seoul back in the 1990s when they had just a few planes and when it was yet an insider tipp because it was not as famous and popular as it is now.

Its a shame the SYD flights don't arrive/depart from T5. It is a fantastic place but I think because the flight is JSA with BA/QF they have to remain in T3 as T5 is BA exclusive.

@alicesprings84 You're right, that would have been a bit shorter but I didn't book the flight so there was no choice for me. :) From LHR to BKK I even flew directly over Frankfurt where my journey actually started...

A great and fanastic well made video...you must have been jet lagged for days...i think the music was a great choice for such a long journey...my mind can not handle long haul flights no more, this year im going to retire from long haul flights...my line of work and what i know does not help matters..one hour flights to London from my airport will do me, Qantas should have awarded you with a medal as big as a garden shed for flying for 2 days in economy, Well done!!.

@homer3152 The Great Homer...now i'd be ill after this journey even in business class...i woundn't be going to no hotel after 2 days of flying i'd be getting taken to the local hospital from my plane seat....i always see what The Great Homer has given a thumbs up or added as a favourite to a video then i always watch it as i know The Great Homer does not give thumbs up for rubbish...i can't wait for the return video :)

@homer3152 Thanks a lot! The food was actually not bad, it could have been better but all in all it was ok. I think wines were available, as well, although I didn't try it. The service was also quite nice but a real shortcoming is Qantas' old entertainment system and the old seats which are in my opinion not appropriate for such a long flight. Qantas is not bad but there are definitely better ways to fly nowadays! Zu Emirates ist es eben doch ein himmelweiter Unterschied. ;)

@737airberlin Allein LHR-SYD hat schon mehr als 22 Stunden gedauert. Dann hatte ich 8 Stunden Stopover in Sydney, 2 Stunden Flug nach Brisbane, nochmal 1,5 Stunden warten und 1,5 Stunden Flug nach Bundaberg.
