  • whatigot2say, you write such as if there is something wrong with being white skinned. BTW she is still MAHOGANY in color. LOL!

  • DIANA-mite!

  • Beautiful and classic attire.

  • Look at the expression on Muhammad Ali's face. When a star has that effect on other stars, then you know you're a super star. Diana is a SUPER STAR - no doubt. Great performance. No she didn't have a super powerful voice like Whitney Houston, but she had everything else, that others didn't. And no one rocked a stage gown like Diana did. She had incredible fashion sense.

  • what IS it about this woman? you can fill a stage with 200 'stars' and your eye searches and finds her SO easily! look how ali's face lit up. people throwing super star around, giving it to the mediocre: she is truly a SUPER-DUPER-STAR!

  • @tofelt , Because she radiates the charisma of special. She does have that effect on people. That's what staying classy and being a true diva does.

Also, she knows how to dress on stage and she had a nice figure. I'm constantly appalled at what other singers wear on stage. They're stupid.

Diana deserves her props, she could have stopped worldwide touring years ago.

  • Wow this was when diane was still brown skinned . she's whiter than her half white children today.

  • I must have been asleep when this song came out. I do not remember it at all. I really like it though.

  • @edwinachikere you weren't asleep when this came out. American radio refused to play it or any of her material. they were too busy ensuring that whitney houston would replace her as america's reigning pop diva. it was a calculated effort because of diana's age.

  • @edwinachikere , You never heard it cause it wasn't played by DJs in the USA. The USA recording industry essentially wrote her off by this time.

  • Love this song!!!

  • Wow! I never knew that people liked this song like that. I never paid it too much attention, and I love Diana Ross. To me her last great songs were TAKE ME HIGHER and GONE. I have purchased stuff since then, but those are my favorites along with THE BOSS and NO ONE GETS THE PRIZE.

  • While this is a very nice song, I really like "When you tell me that you love me", I think this was her last really great song...however, there are so many....Who really knows.

  • The last 10 years have been VERY trying times for us all! As though justice is being served upon the earth and its inhabitants. EVERYONE's getting it...even Diana w/a divorce and the legal wrangle in Arizona. However, if she was as bad as many were making her out to be, she could have ended up addicted to crack, broke or worse yet...DEAD, but she's not. She's back on tour and going strong.

  • OMG! this was the night she performed 'You've Got A Friend' w/Whitney Houston. Is that video anywhere on YouTube? I've been DYING to see it again....

  • @Chasenip i just received a dvd with it ill try to post it soon

  • @ludel can you send it to me too?..

  • The last great Ross single. Love it.

  • I love Diane and always have and will!!I'm sorry that me knowing her threatens you in some kind of way...but that AINT my problem babes!!I'm sorry to hear about your father...and you have my sincerest condolences...all i can say is that it takes time, but it WILL get better, though the pain never will go 100%!!Check my channel page...i have a snap of me and Diane in my hotel room up...hope ya enjoy it!!Chin up angel, like i said...it WILL get better!!Love Maz,X...

  • i know she did who did she think was going to buy it? stevie wonder wrote this, i could see him singing it, its better suited for him than her. no one was buying music like this at the time when this was released.

  • hey yimheretoday, the world doesn't revolve around the USA. This song was a hit elsewhere around the world.

  • @yimheretoday i just love how you like to speak for others.., i.e. in your comment, you indicated "NO ONE WAS BUYING...." Well, quite a few of us did buy this album here in the States. It did not reach gold or platinum status in sales in the States, but it sold really well in the UK and certified double platinum (over 600,000 units sold) that's pretty impressive and better than 99.9% of recording artists everywhere.

  • @yimheretoday We don't know how the song did around the world. The USA's tastes in music are very narrow, which is sad, cause it used to not be like that. This is a fine pop music song.

  • omg I love this so much love the song and Love Dianaa muchh

  • she sounds great here

  • Diana has been wearing her hair shorter at recent performances and it does look like a fresh take on her old style!

  • great performance!! LOVE IT!!! REALL "POWERFULL!

  • I love the performer -- not the song, though the great Stevie Wonder wrote it. It's just missing something.

  • Diana's voice is crystal clear in this performance and the song itself is beautiful. Made me cry, actually.

  • @dobradellsgrl , Her crystal clear diction is one of the many reasons she became a superstar. She was also a lot of fun to look at. Listen to most singers sing. Their diction isn't half as good as hers. And look at how most performers look when they go on stage. They wear jeans (I guess they thought they were going to a rummage sale :\) Or they do something even dumber, they wear BLACK colored clothes, which totally undoes what the lights are supposed to do.

  • yes, she was beautiful in this video no matter what year it was. are YOU still as beautiful as you were back then? don't think so. i know i'm not. she still rocks.
