Even you don't know the meaning of Adzan, you'll feel that the voice is like something we ever heard and touch our heart. It because we as human beings have made a promise with the sentences in Adzan to Allah when we are about 40 days in mother's womb.

For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire)." surah no 31 verse no 6 .. hope that helps
