Funny how the tenor voice style was still popular in Europe at this time, when the conservative reaction had resulted in the annoying "swing" style. I guess this type of romantic music was deemed too "femme" by 1935..

Seems like Europe always has more taste than the USA. The same thing happened when the disco backlash occurred in the USA in 1980, the Europeans continued making good disco records. :)
