    mashallah beautiful job

but its ok to listen to Nasheeds right? with no music?

  • Asalamu alykum,

May Allah (swt) reward you for posting up this great video. May Allah (swt) guide us all and protect us from any harm, whether from the shaytan, our peers/families, or ourselves. Ameen...

  • asalam aleykum

    Yes indeed music is haram

Quran: 17:64 Lead to destruction those whom thou canst among them, with thy (seductive) voice; make assaults on them with thy cavarly and thy infantry; mutually share with them wealth and children; and make promises to them. But Satan promises them nothing but deceit . ....AND... Quran 31:6

    Jazaka Allah kheiran for sharing.

    wasalaam aleykum

  • Allahu akbar,,, Allahu akbar. MashaAllah MashaAllah.. Please my fellow Muslims take heed. This is important . May Allah forgive us our short-comings. Return to Allah returto Allah......

  • Asalamu Alaikum,

Jazak Allah Khair, Alhamdulillah, May Allah reward you sister.

Subhan'Allah, I am afraid that I was one that listened to awful and rubbish music, the society and the peer preassure was at the peek for me, teen life can't get any worser, until I found Islam :)

Then again, it is exceptionally hard, to convince muslim brothers and sisters in this country, that music is not included in the beautiful religion of Islam.

May Allah Guide us all back to the straight path. Ameen.

  • I didn't even watch the video (sorry, I was busy reading the fatwa). Jazaakillahu khayran, this is EXACTLY the kind of daleel I've been looking for to prove it to my friend. Jazaakillaahu Khayran, may Allah (SWT) bless you in every aspect of your life and keep you around to keep uploading very informative and useful videos. Ameen. Other than that, we don't care about you. HAHAHA, JUST KIDDING =D! But really, jazaakillaahi khayran. Wassalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh

  • Asalaamu Alaaaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatu!

lol, wa iyyak! I would reccomend the full lecture (End of Music) by Kamal El-Mekki, its posted on brother KhalifahKlothing's channel..

he gives daleel along with personal experience, logic, stories even poems, masha'Allah!

  • of course daleel should be enough for a Muslim, but if it helps to add along stories, experiences insha'Allah khair..

  • Jazakillahu khayran, yeah I was actually checking out his channel and its the first video on my list so far. Alhamdulillah summer school is finally over so now I can dedicate more time to youtube and almaghrib forums =)

  • wa iyyak

masha'ALlah you are an al maghribi. :)

Much respect, i love al Maghrib, even though i'm not [yet] a student!

  • Ahhahaha, as of like a week ago, yeah. Not fully though, I have to wait an agonizing 3 months for the seminar to be a true maghribi lol. BECOME ONE!!! And then we can meet insha'Allah =)

  • that was a beautiful poem and thank you for posting it, but i thought only some types of music is good and bad like rap, and some music is good for example sami yusuf...?

  • The song content does not matter. Musical instruments are haraam (except for duff for women on weddings, and other such events). Take Sami Yussuf, he has songs with good meaning however he uses musical instruments like piano, violin, etc. Therefore his songs are haraam to listen to.

    BarakAllahu Feek[i]

  • Asalamwalikum sister,

i agree with what u are saying and it is in a hadith i have read. however we can still listen to nasheeds with just duff everyday not for special occasions is that right?

  • Mashallah!

  • manshAllah! that was great!!

  • assalam alaikom!!

again sister Shaykha you bring something precious and interesting to rememeber! yea Subhana Allah it's true that God help us when we take the right path and makes us love it and defend it! We ask Him SWT to keep us firm on His path always Ameen! and JZK for the touching video!

  • wa'alaykum asalaam wa rahmatulah

    jazaaakALLAH khair for watching!

  • how do i post vidoes?

  • sorry for the multiple posts...the server an youtube dont go along that well.

  • Assalamu alaykum sister..jazakallahu khayran for uploading anothr influential and benefical video from ur superb collection.just a point of interest for brothas and sistrs who are trying to quit music...keep trying verily Allah woud giv u the taufeeq as well if u try.but dnt giv up bcos the Quran itself took 23 yrs to be revealed and all the regulations were not implied on the same day.so bit by bit inshallah.i have seen if i try to do evrything on the same day wt happens is ...all messed up!

  • mashallah very nicely made video and very important message. all those who think they cant live without music should start listening to Quranic recitations and reciting Quran everyday. ever since i started doing that, i have totally stopped listening to music. theres no way you can justify listening to music Islamically. jazakallah khayr sister.

  • Masha Allah, thank you soooo much for the reminders..

    Jazakallahu khairan!!

  • Asalaamu Alaykum Sister!

    Aameen!

Jazak Allah Khar for sharing this beautiful video and message with us.

May Allah(Subuhana wa Ta'la) bless and reward you for your works in His(Subuhana wa Ta'la's) Name insh'Allah! Aameen.

    Barak Allah Feeke!

  • Assalamu'alaykum.

    Ameen to the du'as.

    Great message Shaykha!

    JazakAllahu khair.

  • jazaakAllah Khair for your comments,

insha'ALLAH i have a few words to say on this.

I'll post them in a 'video response' insha'ALLAH this week.

    BaraakAllahu Feekum

    Wa'alaykum Asalaam wa RAhmatullah

  • Read the tafsir of the Qur'an. Many Sahabah, Tabi'in, and tabi' tabi'in have commented that Surah Luqman, verse 6 is in direct reference to music. There is a hadith in Sahih Bukhari that says that the Prophet (saw) said that there will be people of his Ummah who will think as permissible for them fornication, silk, wine, and musical instruments. There are even more ahadith, such as another in Tirmidhi. Many great scholars have also said music is haram. Why defend a thing that displeases Allah?

  • Because I am not defending a thing that displeases ALLAH. I said to some extent I agree with you. Alot of secular music is very unIslamic. But I do not see when music is offered as worship how that could be displeasing to ALLAH. In my previous comment I gave some examples. You can not catorgize all music the same and say it is all haram. And you certanily can not put drinking alcohol and listening to Islamic music in the same category.

  • sistr fatima80231....the music is displeasing to Allah bcos it is the innovation of Shitaan itself..and the point the othr brothrs ar trying to make is..sumthing which was higly disregarded by our Prophet(SAWS) shoud we as his followers woud count it as lawful and respectable?i mean come on u wont be using musical instrument to support Quran recitation??if we cant use that to support the best form of worship then how can we use this in othr forms of worship(the nasheeds i mean)??salam sis.

  • salaamz, yes i agree that theirs much worse things happening to our ummah but music is also apart of it as,our prophet s.a.w said music creates hypocrisy in the heart as effectively as water gives growth to a crop. hence, same as adultery, slander etc.He also said (s.a.w)"From among my followers there will be some people, who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments,as lawful'. May Allah s.w. guide al the umah.

  • Masha Allah I learned more about this video... hmdl O Allah swt let me take the right way of Islam inchallah...

  • May Allah reward u sis 4 the great work u do.

    peace

  • And Allah (swt) Knows best of course!!

  • Alhamdullilah! I only listen to Quran recitations.

  • may allah reward u for that bro!! try to understand the meaning too!! thats the most important thing!! make dua for all the muslims and me!!! assalamualikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh!!

  • Subhanallah that was really scary, really showed the reality of our time being wasted...

    Jazash Allahu khair sister

  • Nice message

    TAKBEER

    ALLAHUAKBAR!

  • MashaALLAH

    .. not even nasheed :)

  • jazak Allahu khair...as for duff from all the hadith i've read I believe it's only premissible to listen to at wedings and other celebrations...not on a normal basis..

  • The only instrument allowed is the duff.

But man, this is an issue that...well I don't know.

  • salaam...when Qur'an is in ur life, there's no room for music. i love the end so much...subhanaAllah it effected me. thanks for reminding one of ur sisters about this deen. May Allah (awj) help us to forget this dunya out of love for the akhira. ameen, ya Rabb!

  • ALLAH HUMMA AMEEN!!!

  • quiting listening to music also includes quiting listen to the so called anasheed that has music instruments playing which makes you wonder...is this really "nasheed"????

  • aren't some music like the duff halal at wedding parties?

  • assalam alaikum.Jazzak ALLAH khair for this advise and just my brothers and sisters before me had said, music is very easy to quit. And what makes it easy is to know why and who are you quiting for.

  • its not easy to do this continuously, music appeals to the nafs. so may Allah make it easy on those who are willing to sacrifice their desires for the sake of Allah. some things are easily given up, but music is a subtle distraction...its easy to fall back into a favorite song or what have you.

  • Mash'Allah I like the end :)

  • AL SALAMU 3LAYKUM

    mashALLAH jazakALLAHU khairan!!!!

this was much needed mostly since sooooo many!!!muslims lie to them selves and say music is not haram.SUBHANALLAH wat a shame

inshALLAH this helps brothers and sisters to understand and quit.AMEEEEEEEEN!!!

  • thats a sign of the last day u know, muslims will say alcohol and music are halal, right? i read a hadith one time...someone help me find the source!!! :)

  • yes lol ALHAMDULILLAH i noe. jazakALLAHU khairan for stating it.may ALLAH(subhanahu wat'ala)reward u.AMEEEEEEEN!!

inshALLAH i'll see if i can help u find the source.

  • Aasalama Alaykum wa Rahmat Allahi wa Barakatu.

Jazakum Allahu Khair, sister. Great video. Barrak Allahu Feekee.

Ibn Taymiyya (RA) said that music is like alcohol to your soul, only MUSIC is worse.

    Subhan-Allah.

  • yea..it takes you away from remembering Allah

  • SalaamAlaikum, MASHALLAH, JAZAKALLAH KHAIR.
