@MrStar445 The ones with the orange stripes ARE refs, linesmen don't have stripes. Both linesmen and referees typically break up scrums, but it's usually linesmen.

Referees don't get involved as much, so they aren't preoccupied by breaking up one pair, but rather able to oversee the entire situation and call a penalty if need be.

@MrStar445 the refs usually stand on the outside and dont get involved so they can see whats going on so they dont miss any penalties during the scrums. and the linesmen do their best to break it up but when theres a big scrum and only two of them, they cant really do too much.
