I'd recommend blinking. In all the videos that you've posted that I've watched, you haven't blinked once and it's very unnatural and really doesn't feel like a "dialogue" or "conversation" when it's just someone staring and lecturing.

I would imagine that candidates will do more or less exactly what you describe for future elections, but this is all brand new, and I'm sure most politicians don't know how to react.
