the c-sec academy soundtrack is some of the finest music I have ever heard. Simply ethereal. i thought id never find it beyond playing it in the game. thanks.
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great games such as Mass Effect. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
The C-SEC academy track is probably my favourite in Mass Effect. The first thing I do when I start a new ME2 game is to go to my room and put on this music!
many thanks, this is really beautiful music!! I often mistake them for something from Angels & Airwaves, you know, those brief interludes at the beginning of a number of their songs
If the previews I saw in early 2007 were any indication, Missing Track #17 was initially going to be the Galaxy Map theme, and 7:44-8:01 were supposed to loop endlessly.
I wish that was actually the way it was in the game. It's so much more fitting, IMO.
Way to go, Sherlock. Because I commented about a preview of the game before it came out, you were able to deduce that not only did I not play the game, but everyone else here knows it, as well. Think, man.
I can assure you that I've completed several playthroughs and seen almost everything there is to see. I'm also only missing two achievements, not counting Pinnacle Station.
Go to GameSpot, look up the original ME, and watch Gameplay Movie 11. You'll see what I'm talking about.
Basically the whole reason why I like this game, hopefully the next game will live up to its predaccessor. The soundtrack gives you that future feel, just imagining how its like being in space or in a huge futuristic city.
Very haunting at 1:00
My Sec-C version sounds like fluffy bunnies compared.
The one on the 1st Mass Effect is much better

It would have been funny and cool to hear the galaxy map music from starfox 64 in mass effect.

Well, it's not.
And track 16 wasn't supposed to loop, so we're sure now you didn't play the game...

It was probably just placeholder as the galaxy map had a track over a minute long.
Much better then a loop that lasts less than 20 seconds in my opinion.

8:39 to 8:48 is the paragon end, 8:48 to 8:56 is the renegade end.
Just for... clarification.

thanks again for posting these.
is it possible that some of these tracks only open up when you reach a certain high level etc?

I haven't heard anything that isn't in the game, as I'm level 60, and have beaten the game close to 13 times.
snydes08 2 years ago
ahh i only completed it once - and on xbox - maybe pc is different to xbox version.
(one thing is for sure.. on my profile you'll find Mass Effect dance music that is definitely not part of the game - i mixed it myself :o)
and zandercode helped me with some cool video footage - feel free to check it out on my profile :o)
