I think what Matt is missing is that when things are bad, why not try to stay positive? You can feel terrible, and seek help on your terrible situation, and terrible feeling, yes. You can reserve yourself to that frame of mind, and scream: "MY LIFE IS HORRIBLE, WHAT DO I DO! HELP ME!" Those that can help will say the same thing. You need to stay positive, and find ways to improve your life. I think Matt got pissed that he didn't keep it on the scenario of a family that just lost their house.
