  • WTF!?!

  • Yep, that's how to be a great volunteer. Once someone even hints that you may have done something wrong, you say "fuck you, I quit, because its all about me." That's a great example.

  • ahhhhh to many delayed steals

  • little leauge has balk. though its will only be a ball. thats it.

You cant appeal a judgment call in this case. It look like she was called out. though applenty she was safe?

  • it is called "illegal pitch" in little league.

And I just realized I am responding to a comment made 2 years ago.

  • yup true i couldn't figure that all. lol man don't stress over it.

  • I have to stress i am an umpire agh season starts Monday too.

  • lol, nah if you havce to stress you worrying about things lol. why you get into umpiring in the first place?

I never got chance to play baseball when i was little i was the kid who afraid to get hit by the ball.

Yet i am now the person behind the mask.

  • well I got into umpiring because I loved baseball and the UIC had 0 umpires and sent an e-mail out to x-players who played in the league so I joined and this is my 3rd year in this league.

  • @Igotgame911 That is cool i know some local umpires that use to coach, or a coach that gets into some umpiring

  • Since he has no gear and is calling from behind the mound, I assume the guy volunteered to umpire because no umpire showed up. Probably decided he didn't need to take the crap when he was just doing a favor. Can't say I blame him.

  • I hope he enjoyed how it felt when fans like himself get irate over calls that umpires make every game. He probably thought, "Oh, this'll be easy, I'm right more than the umps I see anyway."

  • What did the umpire do wrong?! Did he call the runner out? If so then the coach should be ejected from the game for appealing an adjudged decision..

  • lol never ever umpire in your life.

  • that pitcher got pwned by the baserunner!!! lmao!!!!wow

  • That team on the field is plain sorry. How could you not pay attention to the runner like that? Anyway, GREAT HEADS UP to the kid who took advantage of that.

  • dude that pitcher was a fundamental disaster. he never had a two second pause when he set. BALK!

  • This is obviously using Little League rules (no lead offs) so there are no balks. Besides, there is no such thing as a two second rule in OBR (NCAA orFED for that matter) but "a complete ('and discernable' for FED) stop."

  • sorry but ya in my county, up until varsity, the rule is a two second pause to prevent confusion and better judge that form of a balk

  • In Little League there are no lead offs and a balk would be moot since runners cannot lead off until the pitch reaches the batter.

Your county must not play under Little League Rules.

  • exactly! thanks for understanding. seriously.

  • Uh, where did you get that "two-second pause" thing. Doesn't exist. All he has to make is a discernible stop, in the umpire's judgment.

But thanks for the (worthless) input.

  • if you would have read, we do it in my league. It was a misconception by me. we have it to help the umpire determine if a discernible stop was present. It is a universal tool for my league to prevent argument.

thanks for your (not thought out) input

  • You guys are confused. Start from the basics. Why is there a Balk rule? So there is no deceiving the baserunner. If there are no leadoffs how can they be Decieved? Why would a "Two second pause" rule be put into play. I understand teaching the kids but if there are no leadoffs then it wouldnt apply anyways. Bigyaz is right on this one.

  • Very good. I hate when people think they know the rules, but they have no idea

  • That dosent prove much. sorry i didnt see umpire say safe or out.

  • i know what its like

    i hate umpires

  • i know what it like i hate umpires

  • yeah get some real ups and please dont givem a hard time even thoguh there gettin paid they still hate the part of the game where they get yelled at i ump

  • I don't know...can't really tell what's going on.

  • Do your league justice, hire qualified umpires to officiate.

  • Good job by that kid, perfect timing.

  • This is a great video for "The Dont's of being an ump"
