Good job remaking the song. I can tell you made the music yourself. Props. I thought Weezer's video was appropriate though. I get the "cashing in" perspective, but I don't think it's really fair to say that the internet memes have no relevance to Weezer's song. If you listen to the lyrics, the song is all about being okay with being strange and kooky and doing your own thing. And that's exactly what Tay Zonday, the numa numa guy, Liam Kyle Sullivan, the guy that made Charlie the Unicorn, and pretty much everyone who appears (or whose work appears) in the video did. It fits the theme of the song perfectly.

I love Weezer, but this video was a cash in on YouTube. Period. That is why I made fun of it. They got the buzz of every single viral hit they had in their video and it got them a huge hit that nobody plays on the radio anymore.

Why? It's a buzzword hit. If YouTube wasn't there, that song would have not been as big. It's not a grower or a stayer. That doesn't mean I dislike Weezer. I love Weezer, but this is pointing out a cash in that no one seems to notice.

The music video took all the funny viral videos and threw them into the music video because its funny. The song itself is a funny "joke" song.
