The truth is that there is no evidence that the people and places unique to the Book of Mormon (BoM) ever actually existed, so all the Mormons have to confirm that the BoM is truth is their "feelings" and their opinion.

Guidance from the Holy Spirit is a powerful thing. There are many who deny the Spirit. After attaining the Aaronic Priesthood I found myself on a higher connection with the Spirit. Before that I had no testimony of BOM. Hence your claim that these ideas cancel out is not so. This is why so many Mormons testify to what you refute.
