  • my 2004 ranger wont go past 90mph why is that?

  • @TommyMinerPhotograpy it has a speed limiter on it. I hate speed limiters my old 93 ranger wouldn't go past 100mph

  • oh my god, i have a ford edge and he is faster than that!

  • lol "Done on a closed course of course.", did you forget to DELETE the end of the video, that shows its not a closed course?

  • @prodigy2k7 no comment haha just playing around with that "Done on a closed course" stuff

  • Does it have a govenor??? I thought they stop at 100 wow so the edge really do 120??? I'm asking because I wanted to buy one. :) thanks

  • @Cjsemien7 im not maker of movie just a commenter i have one they do 115mph before the engine stops it from going any higher thats why the thing wasn't higher then 114-115mph because of american laws lol

  • @michaelneedsthis Yea I agree. It usually stops around 115...but it seems like its just out of engine power and out of gearing, because going downhill it will pick up more speed...which it wouldnt do with a governor.

  • @dothedeww Well the governor isn't going to start breaking if you are going down hill. It is electronically limited at around 115 so it cuts out throttle when it gets that speed. This isn't cause of laws in the us, it is because when the parts are moving faster than that the risk of breaking something is a lot higher. The car was only at 4k rpm and it redlines at 6500. It has more power. If you just tuned it to remove the limiter it would keep going.

  • @gunzkevin yea. Heres another question, I timed some of the 0-60 times with this edge and it seems to be low 6's....stock is supposed to run 8's in the 0-60. Bought this edge used...was it tuned before to some extent?

  • @dothedeww Well every newish car has been tuned already from the factory, it's just not an aggressive tune so it will last longer because it isn't running at higher rpms and it isn't stressed as much as it would be if it were making the most hp it could. But tuning your car doesn't really make it much if any less reliable than stock. Warranty might be void but you could always tune it back to factory standards. And if you need a new part I don't think they would check your computer.
