I got it now.. knut died for cronic depresion two years after thomas died... there was nobody like him with knut.. RIP the wonderfull bearman..

Yes, for Thomas it was a calling and the source of a great epithany for him. What a miracle happened in Berlin. Thanks for posting this....a lovely remembrance of Thomas on a difficult day.

Awww. Sweet. I don't know the story about this bear, but Thomas was a wonderful, caring person to be able to love these animals and gain their trust and respest. What a great tribute to him. Obviously, this was more than a job for him; it was a calling.
