If the christians would read all of a chapter instead of one verse, they would read that what they think is not true. Stop using the Bible for your own purpose.
Again the issue of bigotry and intolerance comes up. I am a Christian and proudly go to the Equal Love rallies to be a part of the movement in Australia that wants equality for all Australians not just the "straights". BTW I don't identify as being straight. :)
The IDAHO rally in Adelaide demonstrates that there is a cohort of quasi Christian's who are bent on discriminating (not Christ like), be violent (not Christ like) and being intolerant (also not Christ like).
@ChurchAdelaide I spoke to the police on the day. One said to me "We need to get them to move on, they're only here to cause trouble." As the police asked one man from the street church to move on, he became violent and attempted to hit the police officer. He was then restrained.
Scuffles broke out and there was bad behaviour on both sides. But anger is to be expected when people like those from the street 'church' crash and event aiming to end discrimination.
@Kimbytns Thats funny as thats not what the cctv and the covert cameras and audio recordings recorded of the Police actions. Pity courts rather go with the cctv and cameras then the Police Officers "word" Anyway if you watch the news the police said "it was for their protection" you cant beat that, over some "hypothetical" conversation you had, with no evidence...

@ChurchAdelaide Evidentally, you are too blinded by your so called 'faith' to see it. But might I say, I was not the one who caused children to cry on Saturday. I was not the one (literally) dragged off by police. I am not the one making threats about stalking and pepper spray.
How can you reconcile all this with you 'faith' and 'love'?
@Kimbytns I never was dragged by police either, I never made any kids cry and I never made any threats and I dont think anyone would make threats of pepper spray, the only people with that stuff is police, so maybe an officer threatened you with that.

This is where this all heading, get a lawyer and sue us for hate speech and silent us. I bet you know its not hate speech and you would waste your money on a case that you know is doomed to fail
@ChurchAdelaide I would never dream of taking away your rights to voice your beliefs. But there is a time and place for everything. Just as I would never go to a church bearing signs and a megaphone, so you should not to so where it interferes with the rights of others.
