well in a sence the thomas on the nvr is a real thomas because he was named by rev awdry the guy who made thomas

if during the day you feel like doing something else we are expected a steam railtour through peterborough and i would suggest railworld which is near the nene valley's peterborough terminus it has a model railway which is across the white bridge and i should hopefully be operating it this weekend

shame really, thomas is a reliable little engine, mechanical wise, its nice to see the little blue *cough cough* E2, come down to peterborough more often, but then again it wouldnt be a unique event otherwise

actually thomas is more than capable power wise its the amount of wear that it would cause is why they dont run it the full length of the line . they used to use thomas on every santa special some years ago
