  • Deadwood is one of the best TV shows ive ever watched... And EB Farnum being my favorite character (simply hilarious). I think those were the days when english was a fun and creative language...

  • One of my favourite characters. Honourable mention to Richardson.lol

  • Great depiction of his conscious here.

  • one of the first scenes i saw. this and al's angry autobiographical blowjob-monologue are what got me hooked.

  • My favourite character in the show!

  • Bill Sanderson married to my cousin

  • This was simply a Great Great perfomance yes , it was stunning !!!!!!

  • Bravo! Bravo Mr. Sanderson!!!! Bravo!

  • EB's Frustration is TOTAL in this scene - what a great performance from sanderson!

  • like a diamond in the rough, you get a soliloquy in the middle of deadwood

  • "Except let me terrify him every god damn day of his life until the idea of bowel regularity is a forlorn fucking hope"

    Love this line

  • Stunning !

  • Shakespeare only wishes he could credit this shit as his own. Brill-fucking-iant

  • Amen.

  • Great EB soliloquy . "Goddamn! You motherfucker!"

  • One of the best scenes in the whole show, if not the best. Great actor, deserves acclaim for this character.

  • Which episode is this is?

  • William didn't get to be part of Deadwoods DVD extra's, as I remember he was involved in another project at the time. Anytime you want to be interviewed about Deadwood, William, feel free to post here on youtube. It's that easy.

  • E.B made me wish I could talk like that on a regular basis.

My boss would be like WTF?

  • great actor, great characters, great show.

  • I think this is the first major show where you have a character engaged in soliloquy. I love Farnum, especially when he's making fun of someone (he's vicious!)

  • I love this scene very strong performance by Sanderson

  • great scene -- I had not really realized how much of this was inspired by Shakespear until I saw this, then i had to go back and re-watch a bunch of it.

  • These poor actors are going to miss this kind of dialogue when they go on to regular, stupid TV and movies.

  • He has the best dialogue aside from Swearengen. Especially when he converses w/ Richardson. His line about filling Richardson's gene pool with rocks was so funny.

  • This is a fantastic scene. Sanderson pulls off the slimy Farnum so perfectly. Every actor on this show is outstanding.

  • i like the talks that al had with the severed indian head better.

  • I love this scene. Best non-blowjob-related monologue of season 1.

  • HAHA so true
