I WANT THE EXACT SAME KIND OF GUITAR !!! my les paul is this exact colour and i seriously want a flying v of this kind with a trangular gibson headstock thoug.
i like paul's better. it's an ibanez he got special made, with an amazing neck and better woods and craftmanship. different pups too, dimarzio's i believe. ibanez actually had a production model of a v called a rocket roll, removed from market because of infringement issues with gibson, along with the destroyer.
Paul Gilbert is better than malmsteen vai satriani and all those other typical instrumental rock guitarists, Gilbert has everything, can sweep and tap and alternate pick just as good as the rest of those guys, his got the whole fucking package!!
@fadetoblack1290 If by symphony you mean take a key then create a chord progression then just sweep/legato/alt. pick the shit out of the corresponding arpeggios then your right.

@MABISGOD his newer stuff is much better than the old. Old Paul doesn't compare to Vai and Satch in terms of writing (with a few exceptions) but he has gotten better with time.

Its an Ibanez Rocket Roller II. Made in the 80's. Hard to find. Sometimes they are up on Ebay.

yeah as far as playing hes equally great but he doesnt compare to malmsteen in actually writing the better melodic songs

malmsteem is endless scales and the same riffs, he can shred, but not write, listen to gilberts blues and jazz for melody

I totally agree with you. Gilbert has technical skills beyond Satch and Vai. But dont you think that his music isnt as good as theirs?
