  • I love the breakdown at the end of this version.

  • I wish they could combine the old version and new :)

  • OH GOD!!! THIS IS SOO GOOD!!! Where to get the Song? Can I buy this song anywhere??

  • WE ARE NOT ALONE!

  • Bands change and evolve over the years, I've been a Shikari fan since 08 and I've heard every single song they've recorded, including their unreleased old stuff. Their new stuff is just as good as the old

  • 3:05 oh my fucking god.

  • @mattymarks i feel you brother haha

  • This version is so much better than the newer one. The new ones good but this is fucking amazing. plus Rou oddly barks in the re recorded version :S lol

  • @KSE62 that bark is one the best moments of the song :DD

  • enter shikari rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is the song that got me into enter shikari. <3

  • I dont know what you guys are smoking but personally id say the newer version of this is WAY better

  • Whoah, when exactly did I say something like that? I think you should read my posts again.

  • I have an un-released version of Return To Energizer and OK Time For Plan B.

Comment if you want me to post any :)

    Should reply soon enough.

    Amazing band <3

  • This is like... A unreleased version, either that or I'm not looking too deep in their history.

  • I love this conversation so much

  • so much better than the shitty new version.

  • the scremo part near then end is immense, reminds me of the good old days this song

  • @bradwad

EXACTLY...i loved this band because of the catchy synths and trance...plus Rou's piercing screams were much much better back in the day..theyre political dubstep/rap influence is NOT what Enter Shikari was..and i KNOW bands change i just feel they turned their back on what worked

  • @keller43561 they've always had a political influence

  • @JordynAS

umm...sorry youre not a winner..arguably their most popular song on their first album...is about arcade games...hence the chorus insert your coin, please try again..or return to energizer another popular song on their first album was based on laser tag..or nodding acquaintance, a song on one of their earlier eps about a relationship....anything can happen in the next half hour..another popular song was about two people on ecstasy in a club or disco..sooo no they recently got political

  • @keller43561 yes i'm sure "sorry you're not a winner" is strictly based on playing at the arcade, have you never heard of a metaphor? also, i never said that every single one of their songs has a political meaning so you listing songs that perhaps don't have such, proves nothing.. there's always exceptions, i realize that. i'm just saying, in even some of their earliest songs, there's slight political undertones. so me saying that they've always had political influence is perfectly justified.

  • WE CAN BREATHE IN SPAAAAAAAACE. God seeing and meeting this band was the greatest thing I've ever witnessed in my life.

  • Drop it Buster!

  • what version is this, because i have heard a completely different one, done by enter shikari

  • @joshwakeman obviously this one is enter shikari too but this version which is reffered to as the "demo" version was recorded in 2005 and they didnt do anything with it as in they did not put this version on any cds or records then in 2008 they remade it with a few different lyrics and abit of cahnge in the music then released that one as a single

  • Was this seriously not released?

    It's the shit ..

  • Why in the release they cut the "Drop it buster ?!"

Seriously it's my favorite part !

  • @MrGreenday

    I KNOW RIGHT!?

  • can anyone send me all there old songs like these?

  • Rou's kick looks all cartoony lol

  • much better version personally :)

  • i love this version much more!!

they should have kept this one instead of the remaked one they did on the music video for this song xP im just saying

Enter Shikari is just one of the best bands ever!!! fer sure, totally original, and genious!! love this band so much!

  • Since I started to hear this band, I loved all their songs from the old albums to the new "common dreads" album. The only reason why they are doing political lyrics is because they grew up!

  • wtf this song is by enter shikari. ive heard this song loads and never knew that. wondered why i loved it so much

  • Bands change, it happens. If you don't like it then you're not mentally equipped to love music.

  • That's bullshit. If a great and creative band is reduced to mere pop band with "political lyrics" (like they all do today), there is absolutely nothing forbidding me to express my anger towards this. Not mentally equipped to love music = Having a brain and understanding that all changes are not for the best, even if it's your favorite band we're talking about.

  • @CountAbel meh, what if they just wanted to grow up? They started the band in their teens, and they've been playing the same stuff for years. surely, if they're trying to progress as a musician, they'd try to broad their horizon of musicality.

i actually thought common dreads was good. sure, they've changed, but it's not like they totally changed their style, you know?

  • I agree. However, becoming more mainstream isn't the same as growing up. They had a challenging and unique sound, and they changed it for a more basic one. The original Enter Shikari was a band you would recognize without a doubt, today I could get it mixed up with any other similar band.

They haven't broaded their horizon of musicality. They've reduced themselves into a very basic political pop/rock band. Not only has their sound changed for the worse, but lyrics as well.

  • @CountAbel if anything, they've vastly improved in common dreads. Sure, you don't get to hear screaming and edgy stuff, but to claim that Enter Shikari is a generic band where you can get it mixed up with any other band is harsh, tbh. I can't tell any band who is similar to Enter Shikari common dreads era, except Mike Skinner, I suppose, and it's at a push.

Their lyrics are worse? I beg to differ. Sure, their lyrics are no longer vague, but they could still write some awesome stuff.

  • @CountAbel They've always had political lyrics, they've just made the themes more prominent in their latest album, and they've changed their style because they're constantly developing their sound.

  • i think i might force myself to like their new stuff. i dont like not liking stuff that i used to like. it's depressing

  • I really want more music lke sorry your not a winner... that song kicks ass

  • Wow, why is evryone arguing? if you dont like their new stuff, then your not a fan of theirs anymore, so there is no point in commenting, i thought that was the normal thing to do =S but maybe im just being fussy

  • the ending of this song always gets me thinking of what could be out there... i love it

  • True ES fans will listen to anything they make and enjoy it, I've been a fan of them since I heard them on Rock World TV and although I admit that their newer stuff isn't as good (still amazing) I'll listen to them every day.

You can criticise their political movements but you must admit they make sense... Truth be told they are very talented and anyone against this is not a true fan.

  • aaaah k everybody stop posting about how the new ES style is crap its like a broken record player on this page if you got nothing good to say then dont say it at all ok :P ;)

  • @shikariferrari258 the new enter shikari blows balls

  • @RedZombu like i said got nothing good to say don't say it at all man :)

  • This is the old one

  • Who else misses this shikari :'( I was so happy 3 years ago!

  • I do...

I miss their pre-take to the skies stuff!

THIS WAS A TUNE! so was empty and score 22

  • when a jelous man finds a gun, yes? epic.

  • nodding acquintance ^.^

  • I do. Common Dreads was awful, and I thought the band could never do worse. Now I've heard the stuff from their upcoming album, and it turns out I was wrong. It's terrible. :E

  • @CountAbel it sucks so much doesn't it! How have you heard stuff from their there upcoming album? I didn't even know they'd started recording demos!

  • Check AmbushReality's channel, it's the official one for Enter Shikari. There should be even a music video for the new album. I believe it was called Thumper or something.

  • @CountAbel ohhh you mean the Tribalism, that's already out. Yer i know. terrible

  • the ending to this song is just epic the 08 version lacks in screaming i like this one better :)

  • I reckon this, and pretty much every other song that was around before Take to the Skies was better on the original recording

Especially mothership & return to energiser!

  • everything pre-SYNAW is ES's best song. I miss the good old days when Nodding Acquintance and frozen landscape were released

  • @georgem124 yerr man I hear ya. Such a shame they had to change

  • OK so what you actually mean is Nodding Acquaintance and This Frozen Landscape, which there is about 100 copies of on CD. Hardly the good old days, they were wank. Don't talk shit.

  • I have heart that they wanted just to test!

And then they have made Common Dreads!

But they want to make an album like ttts!

    Sorry for bad english

  • i actually don't like this version, the 2008 version is more mature, has more of a message. i love everything thats come out of enter shikari but compared to the 08 version this one isn't good

  • @murrayisarobot More of a message? None of the lyrics were changed. Only Common Dreads had any message to it.

  • yeah the lyrics were a lot different.

the verse in this one doesn't go "imagine magma encrusted in rock, and on the surface of this world, all eyes are on the clock, all our empires, our philosiphies (our practiced faiths, OUR REVOLUTIONS) our prowd sceinces are but a flicker in one day of the lives of the stars". this ones like "here we are again, counting rays with you..." its a lot different

  • most of the lyrics were changed man, except the chorus and some other parts.

  • I like this version better, the ending imparticular.

  • Rou has always been the singer. He just got older...

  • my cock throbbs every time i listen to this band lol

  • see a doctor mate lol

  • you have serious problems then. I don't think of audiosexuality.

Go see a doctor... NOW! xD

  • ima girl lol and i was just kiddin

it was a different way to say i love this band XD

  • @PimpinWithSasuke

i quite literally lol'd at your comment

  • my opinion is that the new version is better but the end is in here is soooo fucking epic because it´s lonnger and the screaming works better... don´t know why it´s so short in the new version... but at least they played it fucking long when i saw them live :)

  • Rou's voice goes all weird in this :S

Still, This is a great version of we can breathe in space

  • Rou's voice in this sounds better than da new version

  • am i the only person who thinks this version is terrible?

  • the other version is alot better

  • No, you're not. However I don't agree with you. I find this style being the one and only that fits Enter Shikari. The new album is bullshit, that has lost the hardcore aspect completely and now focuses solely to political criticism. But Take To The Skies, oh man... now that was THE album!

  • totally agree with you dude

  • FINALLY!

Everytime I say "I Don't Like Common Dreads" everyones like "OMFG Thier voices are so much better so much better songs"

ROUS VOICE NOW SUCKS, Common dreads has ruined them, when I go to see a band i want to see them play their music, if i wanted to hear a political debate on what we should do with our lives I'd watch the house of fucking commons (lol the house of common dreads)

    Fuck the new shikari.

  • Blame zeitgeist

  • @1tew3four jeesus, that album is amazing, i can listen to both their albums in sequence, both are fantastic, the new one is just more mature. i equally cant stand it when people have a go at common dreads whan it was plainly the best album of 2009.

  • I agree with you. People just want Take to the Skies again, i like that they keep improving on what they have. Looking forward to see what they do next.

I'm the same as you, i play both albums after each other.

  • Improving? The hell is that supposed to mean? That they should sing more about saving the world and overall reduce themselves to a very basic pop/rock band? It seems we're viewing the word "improve" a bit differently.

Improving Enter Shikari would mean evolving as musicians, experimenting with synths and coming up with something we haven't heard before. Becoming a watered-down version of what you previously were is not evolving.

  • I don't agree (:

I like both albums equally, both styles are awesome tbh. They are just trying something new, leave them to it.

  • shite

  • 3:10 is so badass

  • Best part of the song imo :D

  • I Wish douchbags would stop hating on the new material , tbh the old shikari absaloutly kicked arse and was better than the more recent stuff , but the band have different visions and directions for thier music and as true fans we must follow that vision

  • I LOVE YOU!!!!!! someone who see's the light to ES

  • you lost me at the end. if you dont like it, you dont have to keep listening just because you like the band..

  • this is so much better than the new version. remembering when i first heard it. loved his voice. the new version..nah man.

  • Where can I download this? :/ It's not on iTunes. *le sigh*

Old Enter Shikari kicks so much more ass then the new stuff.

  • i can send it you if u PM me your msn m8

  • pleasee doo

  • I miss the old shikari :(

  • yeah me too :(

I like the "new" enter shikari, but the old enter shikari was better...my opinion...

  • The screaming at the end is in the newer version but its sooo hard to hear. Its really dissapointing but this version kicks ass its so good

  • both versions are great but i like this version more!

  • eargasmic screaming at 3:15 ... and the singing that comes in shortly afterwards just adds to it!

  • i like the other 1

  • common dreads is an awesome album dont get me wrong, but there old stuff is so epic, and completely different to other bands out there. In my opinion their new album seems to be a watered down version of the old one, so less screamo etc

  • The breakdown and ending is much better than the newer version.

  • here you say its unreleased it was released just over the internet with a the bundle of other songs

  • yes but they turned it into something alot shitter and alot less shikari, and the description was written before that shitty EP was released.

  • yeh when i mean unreleased i mean it never went on sales :)

  • in which year they do this song, version?

  • This version is better !

  • hey i fort this version was better but after listenin 2 the newer version i like that too but both versions are absolute kickass n way better than ther new stuff (i like the new stuff btw poeple so dnt h8 please :):);)

  • U CUNT. haha i joke i joke

  • wot do they say at 1.52?

  • drop it buster you cant keep us here drop it buster :P i hope that helps u

  • theres something about the old enter shikari, maybe it's the soft singing instead of the shouted lyrics or something but whatever it is, it reminds me of why i first started liking them in the first place

  • it was the soft singing and the amazing screaming. now all they do is yell... alot

  • a duno its much more raw. the singing is smooth, the screaming is hard. i member getting into ES ...late 05 it musta been and being obsessed for years. i feel bad but i hate all these new comer fans who havnt seen the older side of them

  • Aye Up To That; The Older Songs Were Better; Right Balance Of Screamo And Techno; Got Into Hybryd-Shikaris Orignal Band- Cor Like Years Back And Like Noones Heard Of Them Sucha Shame Tbh :(

    Xo AliRawrrr

  • some of the stuff they made as hybryd wasnt bad, prefer ES though. the newer stuff isnt as good but then again i kinda expected it

  • I agree some of their old stuff is epic and outclasses their new stuff, i love most of the tracks on Common Dreads though, and i was a newcomer to ES, the first song i heard by them was the lastest version of WCBIS, and since then i've not stopped listening to them

  • see i kinda did the opposite. im disapointed at common dreads but hey bands gotta evolve. i mainly lisen to drum n bass n dubstep these days anyway.

  • we are not aloooooone

    we are not alllloooooone

find it hard to believe that we are noooot alooone alter ist das geil man :)

    awesome

  • both versions r good

  • WHAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!

  • whattt!!! m8 r u mad

  • minus the vocals

  • yeah all these older versions are fucking awsome

  • Is this a demo version?

The version I have is really different....

    Still awesome though

  • This is the original version. The version you have is most likely the remake that came out in 2008.

  • wasn't as good as the demo. His voice is like 'IM TRYING BUT I REALLY CAN'T HACK IT ANYMORE' lol

  • fuck u

  • The scream was so much cool :(

  • Groovy song.

  • i like the screamo bit at the end of this song. priceless, even for mastercard

  • i like both versions. i like the vocal rhythm in the new one, but in this one, i love the part where Rou sings "Here we are again..." near the beginning. I think its pretty sweet. :]

  • is this like more 'rough' version? from promo 2008?

  • I think this version was recorded in 2006 or something. They just re-recorded it for fun in 2008.

  • aw.

  • this is a real old song like back before 06, they just did this one for a laugh again in 08

  • soz, i cant notice the difference

  • lol. listen to lyrics.

  • this version is better (:

  • is there different version, rough? can you tell me? tnx

  • Yeahh theres the new one and the old one but the oldd ones wellll better (:

  • The ending and the breakdown at around 1:50 was better I'll admit.

Though if the new version overtook everything else I'd love it even more.

  • This version seems that bit better than the finished piece, but its still pretty decent =]

  • ohh shit sorry i pressed the 'thumb down'-button -.-

    i like your comment xD

  • Lol cheers i'll still pretend there's one more thumbs up xD

  • I like the newer version :)

  • The new version is so much better - its really epic and powerful, and amazing live

  • it looks like his kneee is bending backwards.....

    ...nice :)

  • its the old version

  • i like this version more. this song got me into es. i reckon if they remastered this/redone this, it'd be way more epic than the newer version. just my 2c

  • This version was never released, just a demo.. they didnt like this version really. The reason I find this version better in SOME ways is because he screams more, but the new version is better on a whole. The outro is awesome on this one however..

  • I might see them live in April! :D

  • that is fuckin really good live keep it up enter shikari lovin his different samples

  • your name is entershikari1 and you dont even know who enter shikari is when you hear them???

    nice.

  • then u shouldnt be called ES number one if u cant even tell its them...... ;P

  • for shame

  • this is better than the new version but then the first version is always the best

  • hahaha id love to see how the singers jump finished lol.

  • is the old version right?

  • yup

  • endiing is wat makes this song.. LOVE it

  • The ending :O awesome. I actually kinda prefer the ending on this one rather than the new version.

  • Great song.

  • MAAAN

Send us this song please :)

    Cheers

  • pm me ure msn m8

  • shut the fuck up can you think of another band that has its own unique genre and amazing energetic performances like these do?

    no, didnt think so.

  • i luv the ending of the song!! chris sings awsomely!! XD

  • i love the startin of this song

    soo cool

    <3

  • it kinda pisses me off, that this (pretty good) band always has like 2 or 3 different versions of some songs...it kinda annoys me :(

but pretty good song though i like the new version a bit more <3 his voice sounds better now :D

  • cuz some songs are off of eps and singles..all the new ones were put onto there 1st album..take to the skies...and some are zane lowes...

  • yeah all theyre old eps and demos have loads of songs like nodding and score 22 that were never released, so when they finally recorded an album they had loads of stuff to choose from to simply rerecord and remaster
