ALLAH knows best and is the most just. It is common sense tht one shuldnt be punished for a crime twice. As such if a Muslim has taken punishment for something in this life, he shuldnt be punished for it again, in life hereafter. Allah however, decides whether it was full punishment or not.
Also, repentance (Tooba) clears a sin as if it was never committed (though v still need to settle debts/ money taken wrongfully etc) & this is true for all sins, including Shirk as explained in this video.

AOA. Allah can forgive anything & everything after true repentance. One however, has to return wats he/she owes to others (e.g. money). If some1 has harmed another person, thn he/she shuld ask forgiveness frm tht person. If tht person forgives thn it's all settled. If tht person doesnt, pray, thn Allah can still forgive upon true repentance & compensate tht person by providing him/her better riches in Jannah on the Day of Judgement. Eitherway, he/she shuld also pray forgiveness of the oppressed.
Praying forgiveness for the person he/she oppressed in this world can help in justifying Allah SWT paying the debt from His Treasures on the Day of Judgement. It has been confirmed of instance(s) where Allah SWT will pay for the oppression from His Treasures on the Day of Judgement. This is however, subject to Allah's discretion.
A good approach can be to ask forgiveness from tht person and pray for his/her forgiveness as well and do Sadka/ Khairat (giving away wealth in the way of Allah).
Note:This is specific to Muslims only i.e If a Muslim suffers in this life, thn tht suffering becomes his/her compensation in life hereafter (Allah decides the extent of compensation etc). However, as non Muslims are performing shirk, thn unless they do Repentance (Tooba) and become Muslims before their death, there is nothing but eternal life in fire for them. I just watched a documentary of a French balloonist taking locals for a balloon ride in an Islamic country. I think it was Jordan with those monuments in the desert.
He visited some locals living in a large tent in the desert. Then their girls came out, and the French guy greeted them.
The girls were very shy, clearly kept under wraps.
Then the mother came out, all pissed off that a foreigner, a man, was talking to the girls. She carted them off pronto.
Then he invited their family for a balloon ride and tried to get the mother and the girls to come too. It was a very large balloon that could carry 10+ people.
But none of the women were allowed to take part of the balloon ride. It was only men that got to join in.

No one can prove the Big Bang theory is correct because no one is old enough to have been there to see, experience, etc it. So people believe in it because it seems possible and logical. Where did they get the knowlegde of the heavens to do this. Keep in mind there are stars and things we can't see with the naked eye.
We don't know where that concentrated point of matter expansion came from. It could have been that energy is eternal and in pure form doesn't abide by the notion of time, because time is matter moving around at maximum light speed - which is a constant - as is time (sort of).
Energy in a given configuration could convert to matter - hence a mass chain reactive explosion of energy to matter conversion.
Matter eventually reverts back to energy and the cycle continues.
@a1mint- What if the authors of the Bible used the words of the day to explain things they never knew before? for instance the word dinosaur didn't exist until 1854, so what words were used to describe one prior to 1854? what if God & angels are advanced types of energy that we don't know about yet? is that hard to grasp? you say energy given a configuration could convert to matter right? couldn't that be what ancient man saw & wrote about using words of their day?
And if you insist on this God notion as a starting point - his work is done once the big bang starts. Everything from that point is explainable or new answers are found all the time to explain what we can't explain.

I've found that asking any of them, will all state that the Bible is correct about everything, and they refuse to admit to not accepting parts of it.
I think what they do is choose to concentrate on certain aspects of it, but I don't think any of them have the guts to question any of it. It's that aspect I find pathetic and weak.

For instance the word dinosaur was created in 1842, so what would someone in 1830 call what we know as a dinosaur today back then? Same principle with the term Christian. someone in jesus' time made the term Christian to clarify whom they follow. Prior to that term they were known as "followers of the way", the 'way' being Jesus.

Jesus taught us how to pray, praying to the Father in Jesus' name. As far as preists, it is a well know fact that the Catholics have changed and attempted to change the Bible, that is why they follow things not in the Bible, like change the Sabbath to the Lords day and worship the pope.

ALLAH knows best and is the most just. It is common sense tht one shuldnt be punished for a crime twice. As such if a Muslim has taken punishment for something in this life, he shuldnt be punished for it again, in life hereafter. Allah however, decides whether it was full punishment or not.
Also, repentance (Tooba) clears a sin as if it was never committed (though v still need to settle debts/ money taken wrongfully etc) & this is true for all sins, including Shirk as explained in this video.

AOA. Allah can forgive anything & everything after true repentance. One however, has to return wats he/she owes to others (e.g. money). If some1 has harmed another person, thn he/she shuld ask forgiveness frm tht person. If tht person forgives thn it's all settled. If tht person doesnt, pray, thn Allah can still forgive upon true repentance & compensate tht person by providing him/her better riches in Jannah on the Day of Judgement. Eitherway, he/she shuld also pray forgiveness of the oppressed.

It has been confirmed of instance(s) where Allah SWT will pay for the oppression from His Treasures on the Day of Judgement. This is however, subject to Allah's discretion.
A good approach can be to ask forgiveness from tht person and pray for his/her forgiveness as well and do Sadka/ Khairat (giving away wealth in the way of Allah).

Note:This is specific to Muslims only i.e If a Muslim suffers in this life, thn tht suffering becomes his/her compensation in life hereafter (Allah decides the extent of compensation etc). It can also be indirect shirk. E.g. believing tht someone other thn Allah ( e.g. Prophets - May Allah have mercy on them, Saints etc) can give one anything).
It also includes all sorts of superstitious/ miss-beliefs. E.g. belief in stars/palmistry, goodluck/ badluck etc

And there is nowhere in Islam that says that it is prohibited for a wife to work. My own mother works, and shes religious as hell. Yes they must cover their heads with scarves. I'm sure people such as yourself have some fear or contempt towards it. It shows the woman's modesty. The face covering is optional. I'll continue this some other time.

Yes, I and I'm aware of how they were raised. I just mentioned Ayaan Hirsi Ali did I not? I said that the way she was treated was atrocious and I was in strong disagreement of the Islam she witnessed when growing up.

Just because in one section of the Quran it says to be respectful, doesn't make it all ok. There's plenty wrong, and it is why women in those societies do not get to participate and be seen as equals.

I've already seen both videos and I am in disagreement with the latter over the former. The former was right. The fact that Islam FORBIDS oppression of women is not seen in many Arab countries. Islam never forces its hijab on women. it is a requirement in essence but it all comes down to the woman's choice, as do many other things in life. It is a requirement in every way for holy sites and places of worship.
And culture and religion are two different animals. You seem to be forgetting that. I am Pakistani, not an Arab.

I just watched a documentary of a French balloonist taking locals for a balloon ride in an Islamic country. I think it was Jordan with those monuments in the desert.
He visited some locals living in a large tent in the desert. Then their girls came out, and the French guy greeted them.
The girls were very shy, clearly kept under wraps.

Then he invited their family for a balloon ride and tried to get the mother and the girls to come too. It was a very large balloon that could carry 10+ people.
But none of the women were allowed to take part of the balloon ride. It was only men that got to join in.
This is just more evidence how women in Islamic places don't get to live life openly and freely. They're slaves.

First off, Islam and Allah is a religion. A religion is something that people believe. There is no proof it is correct, that any of it is true, or that it is more or less accurate than any other religion - and vice versa.
Not accepting what people tell you - to buy into a doctrine like Islam, does not automatically mean you're influenced by any devil - and a devil is also something I do not believe exists.
I'm Agnostic - meaning, you can't prove anything about religion.

No one can prove the Big Bang theory is correct because no one is old enough to have been there to see, experience, etc it. So people believe in it because it seems possible and logical. Same thing with the idea life started from cosmic slop which turned into everything we see now. If it was true scientist would be able to replicate on a small scale I would think.

Religious people often regurgitate the common method of attack by stating that the big bang can not be proven and that you can't create something by exploding something. That tactic doesn't work with me.
We don't have to solve the big bang theory, but what we do know is that everything appears to have started from a concentrated point.
That is not a belief, it is an observation.
Life can start with simple replicating RNA sequences. It's been tried in a lab and it's getting closer.

We don't know where that concentrated point of matter expansion came from. It could have been that energy is eternal and in pure form doesn't abide by the notion of time, because time is matter moving around at maximum light speed - which is a constant - as is time (sort of).
Energy in a given configuration could convert to matter - hence a mass chain reactive explosion of energy to matter conversion.
Matter eventually reverts back to energy and the cycle continues.
Far more plausible than "God"

For instance I'm a Christian and I don't eat pork or scavengers, drink alcoholic beverages, etc. because the Bible says not to do it. Others choose to do it because they want to; they make their own doctrine that says it;s ok.

I've found that asking any of them, will all state that the Bible is correct about everything, and they refuse to admit to not accepting parts of it.
I think what they do is choose to concentrate on certain aspects of it, but I don't think any of them have the guts to question any of it. It's that aspect I find pathetic and weak.
