Amazing, never got their due respect here or in the UK. does the "Gay mafia' still run the music scene in the uk? At least they put out SOME great music... Here in the US these record companies are whores to whatever they can get in merchandise and commissions. the hell with the music.
@pmvgamundo Yeah it's so out of control now mate, it's the sheep mentality that I blame. Stupid fuckers who can't think for themselves, and are totally blind to the shit they're actually buying into. Fueled by wannabe's that most don't even play musical instruments, and see the music industry as a gateway to celebrity rather than an art-form. I hate 'the moral majority'
The Butterfly Album, which is what me and my mates called it. I wore the Hell out of that concert shirt, may it R.I.P. This is the album you just hit play and let it ride, not a bad song on it, they are all top rate!!!
I was at the same gig, also saw them in London and Glastonbury the same year, in fact I think it was 3 time in 4 weeks, they played a different set every night and they were amazing even without Terry Bickers or Simon Walker.
Also kudos to the video maker, nice editing and I love the song.
Okay, love IV is my favourite house of love song though.. It is so fantastic and by listening to this song it becomes very easy to see how much house of love inspired shoegaze and madchester like Ride!
I have this idea of a beautiful movie which ends with love in a car and the image fades out and then the credits starts rolling to love IV, that's something eh..
"And I know no love will be here again..." Simply wonderful

If I'm not mistaken, Chris Groothuizen wrote a large part of Audience. (Whether he wrote the songs you think are boring, who knows.)

This song makes me cry, specially the end...Wonderfull band, so underrated...
chikito72 4 years ago
Totally agree. I don't think they made one bad song in all of their discography.

I'd say a few songs off "Audience With the Mind" are good candidates for boring, uninspired songwriting. But I think Guy'd admit as much, himself.

well.. there is love III.. or maybe it's love 2? The one that goes "7 45 am... this is now that was then", Id say it's pretty bad.

These days bad means good,
so for my benefit I'm gonna to let that one go...
XD
BTW it is Love III
