  • I like the addition of foot sweeps and clinches are there any Shidokan schools in Australia?

  • 3:50 Fail pull guard.

  • 50 percent of judo... which adds karate nicely! only it's hard to judge from a collection of cut-outs. That's why I hate cut-outs! 10 percent of others too (are we only 10 percent who hate to not get the whole reality picture???)

  • This is full contact Jujitsu

  • This is not karate :)

  • this is better than mma

  • This is not Full-Contact... I'm a Full-Contact practicer and I now what Full-Contact is. This is more Karate than Full-Contact.

  • @Tinigala its full contact which means striking with maximum impact, several types of karate are full contact, mostly kyokushin derivatives

  • i dont think these are all karate styles some of the styles look like a hybrd art like jujitsu and ninjuitsu

  • Hi i would love if anybody could tell me how i would go about entering one of these competitions it would be much appreciated thanks.

  • Impressive! Very strong finghters

  • These guys are wicked.

  • if they punch each other in the face it would change the way they fight and they would not blatantly kick as they are doing this very poor martial arts

  • @TheSrx1 if they punched the face theyd need gloves and these styles insist on being bare fisted.I would say its a very high standard from several of the lads there

  • Hehe, if only these guys did a bit of Judo.

BTW the correct word is JuJutsu, not Jiu-Jitsu, JiuJutsu or JuJitsu.

  • I do karate and mma... it's a very good video

  • Less typing more training.

  • la del ninuto 2:20 sta bn bueno inche llave bn operrona jejej jejej sobrex c kuidan

  • @shakybones. Karate is not just stand-up. We do a lot of grappling at my dojo. MInd you some karate styles include more grappling than others. Obviously a karate-ka is more comfortable on their feet, but just because it's "open hand" doesn't mean it doesn't include locks and throws and takedowns.

    Glad you think it's cool

  • Shit that is pretty cool but for Karate there is a lot of Judo and Ju Jitsu.

Tell me do they not punch to the head because their hands aren't wrapped or are they not allowed to?

  • @shakybones007 Not allowed to. Would make the fights too quick (and dangerous) if they started doing full force head punches. Would just be a case of who can punch to the head first. And yeah, it is pretty cool. And karate was heavily influenced by Jiu Jitsu during its formation, hence all the locks and throws.

  • @TheMaximusprime13 Jiu jutsu actually

  • @shakybones007 Judo came from Jujutsu so obviously if it has one it has the other.

  • What should i choose to practise :Shindokai or Kyokushin?

  • @VaidasZx there are no such thing as styles that are superior.

    Karate is karate.

  • @VaidasZx I'd go shito-Ryu, it incorperates a double hip movment to throw techniques and is considered one of the hardest hitting styles available. My insturctor grew up rough, fighting every day, so he joined boxing, then Muay thai, and now karate, and he said he punches harder now (age 57) than he did in his 20's when he fights every day. I recently got into a fight and only threw 4 punches before the bloke was gone, and Ive been doing it for 13 yearrs.

  • Great fighting!

I honestly wished our Kyokushin sparring would still include groundwork.

  • That's no Karate!!!

    That is Free-Style Fight.

  • @julians1995 This is a karate, true karate, reborn thrue kyokushin. OSU!

  • What's going on at 3:27? Is it a kaiten Domawashi geri fake to some kind of rolling foot catch takedown, or a missed domawashi that resolves immediately to groundwork, or is his leg hooking the other guy's arm, or does the kaiten domawashi actually hit?

  • Remember this. Yes, eye gouging, crotch pulling, and biting are all effective ways to stop a grappler, or any fighter. But also remember that a pro fighter or grappler can ALSO do this to you in the street as well. So it's a two way street. But a pro fighter or grappler is tougher, stronger, faster, and is overall in much better shape than the average person. So the average chump is still fucked if he has to fight a pro in real life.

  • awesome!

  • best karate style is shotokan it is the most used style in the world the others like full contact etc are crap

  • @posofluturk not all the players are using shotokan. maybe the tournament is hosted by the shotokan organization but players from every style is invited. and shotokan is not the best. its just the easiest to learn/teach. thats why it is famous.

  • @posofluturk and why are the other styles (wado-ryu, kyukushin etc.) crap according to you?

  • @posofluturk , prove that. Where do you live ?

I am kyokushin and muay thai practitioner from France. I invite you for friendly sparring. Contact me at streetmuaythai@yahoo.com or kyokushinfighter78@yahoo.com

  • @kyokushinfighter78 No make sence to do this , i"m already invite lot of keyboard fighters, nobody respond.

  • @KankuPitbull

Yes buddy, it makes no sense, even if we just invite them for training together and friendly sparring they won't come.

But sometimes I just got pissed of keyboard warrior.. I think we should just have to respect each other, that's the spirit of Budo.

    OSU !

  • @kyokushinfighter78 This is the way of life bro. OSU!

  • @kyokushinfighter78 I do shotokan and i would love to spar a kyokushin fighter, id probably get my ass handed to me but it would improve me as a fighter! :)

  • @Mistabutts , u can find nearest kyokushin dojo and have some training session with them. Its going to be fun.

  • @Mistabutts good man

  • bagacera véi!!!!!!!!!!!

Trocação doida e altas quedas e com mt técnica!!!!!!!!!!

  • 3:27 i didnt get that :)

  • if you're reffering to the "kinetic lag" of the dragdown, I think the kick landed on redshirt's left arm instead of head, that's why

  • 3:27 wait wat?

  • this is shidokan karate!

  • es mucho más guapo el kyokushinkai

  • Anyone got a like to the rules for the world championships for full contact karate?

  • Looks like karate + judo. It's all Japanese MMA!

  • pretty cool 8

    no face punch

  • too much head grabbing, shirt pulling, knee striking, doesnt seem like karate. looks like street brawling!

  • It doesnt look like KUMITE fight but alll things u said this fighting style has too much are the biggest loss in modern days "girl style" karate kumite.

  • I really love karate. I do shotokan and kumite isn´t very good, we must hit with control and full contact is absolutely prohibited.

I like kyokushin and shindokai styles.

    Regards from Spain.

  • o men... every one knows that mma figths are most realistic and full but it is always good fun to fight in shindokai rules or shooto.

  • because its copying muay thai. Clinch and straight leg shin kicks to legs. This sounds like text book karate.

Wait, they NEVER ever ever used the prescribed gedan berai stance!

Sure looks like karate to me!

  • @serion1234 Gedan Barai is low sweep, Dachi is the word for stance, Classic Karate Roundhouses land with either ball of the foot or shin anyway, and that clinch they are doing is single collar, not plum, and both are used in Karate, oh, and, say, Judo as well anyway, you gonna tell me Kano stole 'em from MT?

  • stupid video!! just search shotokan oradea

  • ? You can kick and knee to the head but not punch? Is that right? Weird ruleset.

  • Yeah, everyone who knows anything about fighting (like people on U Tube), know that all you need to learn is a bit of Muay thai and BJJ to be a great fighter.

Man, I wish that Fedor guy would wake up to himself and get a few lessons so everyone would stop kicking his arse..

  • Fedor has had Muay Thai lessons.. you can even view them on you tube. (quite common knowledge amongst MMA fans)

  • People on Youtube are not people who know about fighting; theyr'e usually nothing more than keyboard warriors talking smack from behind the safety of their PC's or laptops. Even the Gracies have denounced this type of language in the martial arts.

  • @44excalibur brilliant comment

  • @44excalibur you seem to be insulting yourself also.

  • @ChiStriker Not really. I never go around attacking other styles. I believe that they all have something to contribute. I just can't stand the trash-talk that happens on so many MA vids.

  • @serion1234 i cant see here any muay thai techniques..sry but u suck at martial art as hell

  • there are a fair few if your pay attention, the half clinch, and kneeing style.

    The straight leg SHIN kicks.

These are trademark mauy thai moves. But yes you are right, this is no muay thai fight. Muay thai is alot better then that shit.

Nice to see when it boils down to it, karate and the like has to borrow moves from muay thai :)

I used to do karate, and not once did I use the clinch. Until I did muay thai of course.

  • @serion1234 lol its so hard to take some1 to clinch lol! you really need skill from muay thai masters to do it ! kneeing style ? who tell that in karate arent knees ? knee "kick" in karate is used to call hiza geri

"the striaght leg shin kick" i dont know what you think but when you think "gedan mawashi geri" then gtfo noob u dont know what is karate

  • 'gedan mawashi geri' - aka low round house kick.

1st of all : karate chambers its round house kicks.

2nd : Karate strikes with the instep of the foot, not the shin.

The practitioners in this video do neither, they don't chamber most of their round house kicks, and make contact with the shin.

Not once in 5 years of karate, have i had to a) clinch b) not chamber and strike with shin.

...and FYI - i quit karate because MT was loads better. i.e. proof: UFC. Karate gets dicked.

  • What about Chuck Lidell? He's a Kempo expert, and he has more wins by knockout than anybody! Georges St. Pierre is a Kyokushin blackbelt and a UFC champion, and Kyokusin fighters have successfully defeated Muay Thai fighters in the past. Lyoto Machida is a Shotokan expert and is undefeated. Karate does not "get dicked" to use your words. These guys study and learn how to beat Muay Thai. I think a lot of MMA types get too overconfident with the MT/BJJ combo.

  • And most guys who quit a certain style were usually never any good at it to begin with.

  • @serion1234 you sir are an idiot not all karate styles hit with the instep some hit with the shin as for karate getting dicked whatever that even means just try saying that to lyoto machida or andy hug or fransico filho or CHUCK NORRIS. Bitch

  • Without face punching it's very unrealistic

  • I agree that taking out face punches changes the game a lot. That said, once you have rules of any kind, it's a sport or game. Every "no holds bared" competition I've ever seen or heard about has 1. No eye gouging 2. No biting and 3. no groin pulling (I know some do striking). Those three attacks, BTW, the best ways to stop someone who is focused on grappling. So once you add rules of any kind, you might as well add a bunch, because the realism is gone.

  • Well said.

This is the good shit right here. For all who complain about it not being totally realistic to a street fight - it's a sport, enjoy it for that and stop bitching.

  • I agree. But the less rules the more realistic it will always be. UFC/MMA is the most realistic LEGAL sport in existence tbh, and probably makes your best prepare for a street fight.

If you are skilled in BJJ/MT, it doesnt take a genius to go for the grion, bite and gouge when you find yourself in a street situation.

  • @serion1234 man stfu and pls dont response on my comments cause as we can see you have trained a wkf sport karate so i cant understand why are you watching full contact sports...u are just pussy..thats all

and.. ufc/mma most realistic ?:D::D man i have fought a few time in the street but i have never fucked 10 minutes on the ground..iam not g44y :-*

  • OMG watch out Xbobalax is the uber internet tough guy.

Muay Thai is probably the grittiest and most savage striking style there is. There is nothing flashy about it.

According to the police at least 80% of street fights end up on the ground. So knowing submission is useful.

MMA produces the best all-round adaptable fighters, technically and physically. I think thats generally agreeable.

Your just an angry teen, your 17, your not old enough to hold a senior grade in any martial art - LOL.

  • @xBobalax I'd say youd look pretty gay begging a dude not to break your arm while you're "hugging"

  • Nice sport though eh? I can appreciate it on that level.

  • ma il pubblico dov'e' ????

comunque in questi combattimenti c'e' di tutto . judo , karate , muay thai , ecc.ecc.

come al solito i pugni sono mooooolto scarsi .

direi pero' ke sono bravini .

  • this is a karate kyokushin ???

  • yes and no. It is not the style kyokushin, but a kyokushin breakaway group that use a slight variant of the kyokushin competition rules.

The difference is that they allow clinch, throws and a limited followup after a throw with a attempt to apply a lock/pin.

  • This is great. I think it's more exciting then UCF (at least the highlights). I like that the clinch and grappling are limited, but allowed. To me that's more realistic then unlimited time on the ground, because if you are at war/on a battle field, or even defending yourself, there is likely to be more then one attacker. You can't roll around on the ground against two attackers for very long.

  • If only that 2nd dan blackbelt that attacked me did it with the heart these guys did outcome may have been in his favour. I hate it when people talk up their skills the it turns out they got next to none. No disrespect to Karate :) just to the guy who attacked me.

  • ... yeah , unfortunately there will always be some losers involved in the martial arts ,.... of all different styles..... so much so that I try not to read too many comments on youtube vids,... it tends to dissapoint me.

  • 3:25 i almost cried when i saw that move, i train for 8 years now, got my black belt, but still cant do that nice chis-tanari

  • Sembrano sequenze di combattimenti tra froci effemminati

    Bllleah

  • non capisci proprio un cazzo....quindi come fai a giudicare qst sequenze?!?!?

  • Awesome Movie!!! nice display of Karate!

  • When they are on the ground, they are all using the same submission hold to the arm - is this the only one allowed?

  • now this is full contact.

  • brilliant video ive been searching for a martial art that is exactly like this thanks for this video it helped a lot

  • wow, karate looks alot different when its being used!

  • esto es jiu-jitsu japonés sin ir a marcar el golpe.

  • the meaning of the word ''kumite'' is sparing or fighting :)

  • Omg kumite just meen 'figth' or 'tournament' in japanese

  • so no kung-fu against karate? or any other combinations?

Saw a movie once, one about the Kumite. i thought i whas with jean claude. and there it whas like completely free-for-all no rules combat, tournament style.

but i gues thats all just exagerated then...

  • i thought 'the' kumite whas all fight styles? i only see karate....

  • lol.

Kumite is not Karate vs Tea-kwon-do?

    Karate vs Karate

    Tea-kwon-do vs Tea-kwon do.

  • cool

  • Great clip!!!

    Oss!

    Dave.

  • nice vid, good moves, good hits

    metalica - fuel :X

  • Whats the difference between shidokan and shindokai?

  • As I understand it, Shindokai-kan is just a political division.

    Its the same style.

  • ooooh my God that's Awesome!!!! what kind of karate is this? AMAZING VIDEO!!!!

  • It is fairly basic "knockdown karate" rules. The specific style is shindokai karate, which is a offshoot from Shidokan karate, which itself is a offshoot from kyokushin karate from where "knockdown" originate. There are several other knockdown karate styles around..

The shindokai/shidokan rules variant allow a bit more grabbing/holding than the original kyokushin rules, but other thant hat its more or less the same.

  • 4:06 LOL

  • that red belt was insane

  • Brain damage :D

  • The possibility for brain damage exists in just about every sport.

  • Not a big fan of karate, but I am very impressed by the full contact striking and proficiency with takedowns.

  • Geras video. Lietuviai prizininkai :D

  • hahahah they hunging each other

  • great standard, far better than japan or us

  • KArate horrivel!! muita brabeza e pouca tecnica!

  • Respect. Lithuania has toughest fighters in all the world.

  • Yeh!!! Strong fight! Strong mans! Respect video!!! 5 star 4 me!!!
