Should I get an Yamaha or Sony AVR for my Sony SS440 speakers? I need a more up to date AVR for when I get my new HD TV! something tells me the sony AVR is only gonna push 20 watts 5 channels driven.
@raymondleeleggs I prefer Yamaha receivers than Sony... (i had 2 yamahas)... But maybe the sony speakers work better with sony's.... I dont know exacly.
Yeah, through my Paradigms I can feel the low end freeqs of them B&W's. Nice. Must be something akin to having the musicians right there in the room right?! Great song too.
@HenkSpankK My videocamera is professional. I like the Rotel but i am looking to have McIntosh :p I never listened focal speakers but i always heard good things about them...
@edpadden typical for the entry level. Unfortunately to get the all dynamics and natural sound you have to jump to 802D and above. Owning the 801D i cant say anything but excepcional speakers i wouldnt trade even for the new BWs series which are very expensive and not worth. Playing this song of Barber you feel in another level, bass is very full and the mid-highs are not so straight forward but the dynamics and fast tweeter sound are there.
@smartti1970 Hello. The album is COMPANION.. I just bought B&W 804s and the 800 series is much better thank 700. Its like an upgrade.. the sound is very likely but in the 800 series is more enhanced... Soon i will post my new speakers...
