That wide one you see at 45 and 50 sec marks is what John Carmack used to use (the mastermind behind the engine of Quake and Doom). Ah those must've been exciting times in the industry for everyone.
@taipoxin Correct :) It was actually Carmack who made me aware of Intergraph in the first instance, thanks to his development blogging at the time. If you can find them, there are a few photos floating around of the TDZ and InterServe series in use at the id offices. Nowadays, John now appears to be using two 30" HP LCDs.
Damn, some of those case designs really were ugly! I do have a soft spot for Intergraph video hardware, though, and own custom vintage PCs with Wildcat 3410, 4000, and 5000 accelerators, which can be picked up for a song on eBay.
I used to have an ancient Intergraph CLIPPER powered CLIX (UNIX) workstation. It was pretty impressive, with a huge RGB (13W3, if I'm not mistaken) video interface and a gigantic monitor and a huge digitizer tablet.
Unfortunately, I took it apart and trashed most of it (because it was too exotic and Intergraph couldn't, or wouldn't, provide my license keys). I only kept some parts, like the tablet (although not in such a great condition), keyboard and mouse.
