The VA is not trustworthy and is just another extension of the federalist death cult called the military.

The VA provides tuition assistance and medical services to our veterans. Our military members are willing to sacrifice their lives for their country. A database of DD214's was stolen from a contractors computer at the contractors home. The VA sent out letters to all the veterans who were in the database. Either way, VA services should target only the vets who use the services, and not compile some investigative tool from private medical records.

Good question BUT the federal government has millions of employees, so therefore it has privacy act information, personal and medical, for millions of Americans. The fed has done a pretty good job safeguarding this information. If you are concerned about Health Care Reform, the fed government is pursuing a public-private option, the public option contains many profit/non-profit low cost insurers. The system will still be somewhat private and the federal govt will not maintain health records

namename564, I am an active duty E6 in the Navy. We currently have paper medical and dental records that are a pain to maintain and papers get lost/misplaced all the time. This makes it difficult for members to apply for VA benefits once they separate. An electronic medical record just makes sense. Members have to apply for VA benefits in order for the VA to obtain their information. The info is not automatically sent from the DOD to the VA.
