they don't like too call anyone "racist", but that journalist is just doing his job. If he were interviewing a British politician, he would also ask questions in the same tone. In any case, racism is a problem everywhere in Europe, including the UK, but the fact is that in the UK there are more immigrants, proportionally, than in Italy, but less hysteria.
I don´t think fighting illegal immigration is "hysteria". Is what the EU wants all state members to do. Italy had few immigrants 10 years ago and now approaches to 10% of population (Look at Eurostat´s regional yearbook). In Germany, UK and France the process started before, and was/is conflictive too

That´s not true. Immigrants in Italy don´t have any problem if they stay to work and make a living, like anywhere else. But i hope italians will be smart enough to avoid having the numbers of illegal immigrants of USA (12 million; 4% of population) or the poverty of french banlieue and some british cities. Sorry? In Germany illegal immigration is an offense punished even with 1 to 3 years in jail. In Italy is not punished with jail but with a fine. You should also read the recent EU directive.

In Spain we have a similar guy, the mayor of Madrid, who started in AP a party founded by 7 Franco ministers in the late 1970s, and now is the most moderate among the moderates (pro-gay rights, pro-abortion, etc)

There's one point which Frattini got totally wrong, and only a Neapolitan would know that. The tourists sunbathing in the picture next to the corpses MUST BE Italian. They CANNOT be English (or Danish, or German, for that matter) for one simple reason: no mentally sane person from Britain or Europe would ever go to a beach in Torregaveta (the exact location where the two girls drowned) because that place is total sh*t and very far from classic tourist destinations such as the Amalfi coast.

ma evidentemente Lei NON vede le interviste di Sakur su BBC. Forse la "faziosità" del giornalista risiede nel suo cervello, o forse non riesce a tradurne bene l'inglese.
Se Lei avesse visto l'intervista a Mugabe, probabilmente considererebbe Mugabe maltrattato, e Sakur un razzista. La realtà è che Sakur cita a Frattini dei dati o delle affermazioni di altri, e gli chiede risposta. Frattini, invece, si inalbera come un damerino, perchè NON è abituato a tale vero giornalismo.

The level of immigration growth in Italy in last 6-7 years is very similar to Spain. Both are entry doors to Europe. But we expel much more illegal immigrants than Italy per year. Nobody would dare to call Zapatero "racist" or "fascist". Any left-wing government is protected against that bullshit, only because is left-wing.

In any case, racism is a problem everywhere in Europe, including the UK, but the fact is that in the UK there are more immigrants, proportionally, than in Italy, but less hysteria.

I don´t think fighting illegal immigration is "hysteria". Is what the EU wants all state members to do. Italy had few immigrants 10 years ago and now approaches to 10% of population (Look at Eurostat´s regional yearbook). In Germany, UK and France the process started before, and was/is conflictive too

The way people talk like every immigrant is a danger and the immigrants are all criminals, even though most of them are just people who want to work hard and make themselves a new life (while enriching Italians) is quite terrible.

But i hope italians will be smart enough to avoid having the numbers of illegal immigrants of USA (12 million; 4% of population) or the poverty of french banlieue and some british cities. You can choose between open borders and take care of the poor around the world (hurting Welfare and low classes), or take legality seriously. Illegal means illegal. Sorry? In Germany illegal immigration is an offense punished even with 1 to 3 years in jail. In Italy is not punished with jail but with a fine. You should also read the recent EU directive.

Neo-racism in Italy is a fact, at least 50% of the italians people think and act like fascists, but try to ask them if they are really fascists... they will tell you not.

In Spain we have a similar guy, the mayor of Madrid, who started in AP a party founded by 7 Franco ministers in the late 1970s, and now is the most moderate among the moderates (pro-gay rights, pro-abortion, etc)

Qui in Olanda la BBC entra in tutte le case (via cavo!) con CNN, ZDF/ARD (Germania), TVE (Spagna), BRT (Belgio) e RAI1... tanto per dare un'idea di cosa sia la libertà/pluralità d'informazione!!!

viene proprio difficile da capire. Ha perso le staffe come un cretino alla prima domanda critica(che gran politico), senza contare che le risposte antecedenti facevano orrore (Maroni's sentences are a bit folkloristic), molti di voi forse non afferano l'inglese è non hanno capito che l'intervista era orrenda nella sua totalità.
P.S. sono Stato a Londra, è di sicuro meglio che vivere in italia. Si trova subito lavoro e ti pagano pure, guarda un pò.

L'ignoranza tende a dare fiato inutilmente alla bocca. Se dobbiamo guardare indietro di secoli possiamo anche dire che al vaticano stanno ancora i crociati e gli assassini di streghe. Il Ministro Frattini è un semplicemente un fomento.non è il linguaggio piu adatto in politica ma la sua preparazione,conoscenza della lingua fanno di lui un politico esemplare.Otime risp pur trovandosi dall altra parte un giornalista arrogante e spocchioso, il quale non ha ottneuto il risultato sperato..incapace di accettare i problemi del proprio paese..semplicemente acceccato da una profonda ignoranza fatta solo di superficiali pregiudizi.

Il giornalista ha fatto molte domande incalzanti e intelligenti, quella però dei rom morti sulla spiaggia era francamente faziosa, poco intelligente e fatta da una persona con poca conoscenza delle procedure Italiane per gli accertamenti fatti dai giudici sulla scena dell'incidente!
Fidati che mi è capitato di vedere scene ben peggiori!

There's one point which Frattini got totally wrong, and only a Neapolitan would know that. The tourists sunbathing in the picture next to the corpses MUST BE Italian. They CANNOT be English (or Danish, or German, for that matter) for one simple reason: no mentally sane person from Britain or Europe would ever go to a beach in Torregaveta (the exact location where the two girls drowned) because that place is total sh*t and very far from classic tourist destinations such as the Amalfi coast.
