My best friend's baby was born with Trisomy 18 in July 2008. First she was told the baby would live to be only a few hours, then a couple weeks. When those couple of weeks passed, baby was discharged, but given a very poor prognosis with practically zero longevity; 3-4 months at best. She will be 2 years old in just a couple of short months. :) All hope isn't lost for Trisomy 18 babies.♥

This is very sad and I feel very badly for the parents but in that picture of the dad and Eliot sleeping it appears that the dad's head in laying on the babies legs and that they are on the couch. No one should ever sleep with a baby because they could suffocate them. This is the same reason babies shouldn't have pillows. A baby could also easily fall off a couch. I'm certainly not blaming the parents for Eliot's death, he was obviously very sick.
