It doesn't matter to me about the texting thing...just as long as the FRAMEWORK of communication is very LEGITIMATE....We live in a hi-tech society, and the channels of communication have come a long way. There have become many forms of communication that have become substitutes and/or in addition to the voice aspects fo the telephone (e-mail, IM, text, Skype, the list goes on); As a result, we have gotten advantageous to these alternatives.

This sounds like a control issue. Once upon a time, women preferred heart-felt WRITTEN letters vs. phone calls. And you never knew if he wrote them or copied w/ his handwriting. If you know your partner, then a REAL text meant they stopped and really poured their thoughts and feelings into it then trying to juggle a convo with you and distracting traffic, kids, work or nosy people.

Most of us can read text in seconds but have 2 tell our partners to call during lunch or after work = you're scheduling/controlling your love around other things. If you want to tell ur partner something at 10:15am, you shouldn't wait. Text is an instant upgrade to writing. Real mean aren't afraid of rejection... maybe we are busy WORKING. Don't hate TEXT ITSELF, hate the QUALITY of the text you're receiving.

But I do see your point, if all you get is what-u-doing & where-u-at type of texts.

It all depends on the female that a guy is with. My friend is always texting females and see plenty of action. I don't text, sometimes when I meet a female and get her number, I'll wait about a day or two before I call so I can keep her mind wandering.

That is because they are nicely telling you that they are NOT interested in you. You texting them does not make them want you. You find women not wanting you because of your fear of being hurt and that fear has caused you to put a thick wall around your heart. A boat can stay at dock but it was meant to swim in the ocean. Yeah you are right. We, both men and women SHOULD keep it real but in reality we dont. So we give each other "signs" or behaviors that demonstrate how we feel. Most people dont like hurt peoples feeling so they just dont say the truth. I use to not think about the egos or feeling of men and I hurt a lot of guys who were interested by telling them "I am not interested." Now, I say it with out saying it. Thats real.
